In response to the shout, Claire instinctively tried to draw her sword, only to grasp empty air instead. Switching sides to her dagger and whirling to face whoever had hailed her, she took a defensive stance and eyed the figure approaching her warily. Drawing her dagger out half an inch when she decided he was close enough to talk, she spoke clearly enough for him to hear. "I might be, but you are obviously not, the way you announce your presence in a battlefield." He words were clipped, in an odd dialect, adding emphasis to the 't' in every word. Her glare was focused on the man, taking in any detail that might help her beat him. [i]No obvious weapons. Assassin? Sorcerer?
