"Always one more." Will replied a bit seriously. He kept his emotions in check. He loved her - or so he thought. He had had a crush on her since he was young - not when they first met but some time after. Then from that he believed it turned to love. But him and her will never work. She the daughter of a governor and he was but a lowly blacksmith's assistant. Seeing the Governor come back he nodded once more and took his payment. He nodded to both. "Governor. Miss Swan." He turned and left. He headed back to the shop for a bit more work to do. What he'd like to do is follow Elisabeth but he didn't. One that was just stalking. And two, why torture himself more? Besides, he had work to do. A cannon had needed repairing and he was looking forward to the challenge of it. The morning air was crisp as he walked. There were several others about as well and he smiled. Port Royal was a fairly descent sized settlement but he knew most of the people and they him. Some of them even knew, and respected, that he really did the work at the blacksmiths shop. He didn't have a lot of friends here, none really - other than Elisabeth and even now he had to be more formal with her. But that said, he did have a lot of acquaintances. ~ ~ ~ Abigail soon found herself looking out over the harbor. There were a good three or four ships in the bay, including the HMS Dauntless and HMS Interceptor. Both ships were powerful. The Dauntless was a hundred gun ship of the line. Fast and agile it was the pride of the fleet. The Interceptor was only a brig with 16 side cannon and two swivel deck cannon. It was said to be the fastest ship in the fleet. Both lay anchored in what, Abigail thought, was a lovely sight. How she'd love to sail on one of them. The ship she had arrived on - and was just leaving - was not really a warship. Oh it had guns. You had to with pirates but it just wasn't the same. Her luck was she'd never get on one of the worships. But then again.... she was the niece of the Governor. Maybe she could use that to her advantage to get on board. She smiled mischievously and wondered if she could convince her cousin to come along. She had no doubt Elisabeth would go along with it. The cousins both had that curious streak in them.
