[/url] They were the source of her fantastical abilities as a demi human. If she was to somehow lose her tails, then she would likely not be able to maintain the illusion of her existence any longer.

Hinako definitely found the subject of other Demihumans rather interesting. There were various examples of youkai she was familiar with. In the event a Demi happened to derive from the far east it was likely that Hinako could identify them through physical traits if any were obvious enough.

[color=ed145b] “You must be strong then Lily~. Dragons where I come from are more or less individuals of unparalleled power, but because of their power they are not allowed to interfere with the world of the humans and act as pseudo deities. ” [/color] 

The more Eurocentric Demi tended to be a bit less obvious to her, if at all. There were dragons in Eastern mythology, but they were not the same sort of dragons of the western world, Though they shared some characteristics, the dragons she was more accustom could rival the gods themselves in strength if they weren’t gods in their own right. 

But Hinako was clearly interested in learning about other cultures. She did have her followers bring her dutch writings after translation to her native tongue when she had followers at her disposal, and then again with English and French texts after the end of isolationism. But after the Meiji resteration, the belief in her as a goddess seemed to wane until she was forced into her current state.

Perhaps she was not all too different from the feudal-like dragons that Lily had mentioned. Hinako loved humans, despite her current fear of speaking openly towards others after being abandoned. Though she did resent humanity to a degree for their lack thereof faith in her abilities as a goddess, it was not as if she hated humans. The former goddess loved humans. But to obtain something from a god, one must give offerings. And if that were to be applied to the current situation Hinako simply didn’t wish to have something granted for her if Lily felt that she had owed her something. 

And with that, Hinako followed the other to the auditorium.
