[@ClocktowerEchos]
NAME: Charne (surname) AGE: 13 GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: Charne is what might be considered physically handsome for his age, given just a few tweaks - he is fair-skinned, slightly taller than average for his age at about 160 cm, with dark curling hair and bright blue eyes, and he is reasonably muscular for an early teenager as a result of various forms of training. This is offset, however, by his tendency to remain a touch too still when not doing something with a particular bodypart, and to stare at whatever he is paying attention to with wide eyes and slightly too little blinking. His typical dress includes dark underclothing, often worn beneath a suit of carapace armour styled in (Inquisitor)'s colours. PREVIOUS OCCUPATION: Schola Progenum, psychic blocker. WARGEAR: Mono-edged close-combat weapon, about a foot long overall. Las pistol. Skull implant akin to lesser version of Animus Speculum, dampening his contra-psychic aura to let him interact with humans somewhat normally, up to and including psykers; implant can be turned on and off at will to unleash the full force of his aura as needed. NOTABLE EVENTS: Charne's first memories are of the Schola Progenium, being attacked by older children for "giving them a headache". Shortly after, Charne is introduced to Abbot Collan Droht, who is the only person he has so far met who hasn't instantly despised him - this is because Droht is a psi-dense Untouchable, and thus not so badly affected by Charne's own Warp-nulling aura of horror, given that Charne himself is a full-blown Omega-level Pariah. Collan is as harsh as any other Abbot for failure, but not unnecessarily cruel as with most before him, and under his tutelage Charne is rarely exposed to this harshness. Charne does not learn the true nature of his condition until Inquisitor (name) visits the Schola, taking notice of Charne as he is chased by a bully, and promptly breaking the bully's knees for lack of respect. (S/he) questions and informs Charne on the matter of Blanks and Blacksouls, then promptly spirits Charne away despite protests from the Schola (something about some special temple). Charne has since remained by Inquisitor (name)'s side almost constantly, through both peaceable training and battle against foes of various sorts, and has grown fond of the Inquisitor to the point of taking on (his/her) last name as his own, as (s/he) is one of two people who has shown anything resembling kindness to him. Despite conditions that would traumatise a normal child, Charne has consistently learned from every experience both in and out of the field, doing well enough that despite his young age, he is now being considered as an Acolyte to start down the road towards becoming an Inquisitor in his own right. PERSONALITY: Charne's status as a Psychic Null has left him without the typical emotional responses that one might expect from a standard human, as might be the expected outcome of granting no soul and no connection to the realm of emotions to a living being. Though he can "feel" emotion as a byproduct of biological processes, it is heavily muted compared to normal human standards, completely lacking in extremes such as intense rage, sorrow, or ecstasy, and very rarely expressed externally regardless, though this last part is more a result of his upbringing than his condition. Ironically, this lack of emotion is part of why he is being considered for Inquisitorial induction so young, as his capacity for logical thought remains comparatively unhindered by emotional responses, combining with a fairly substantial intellect and will and practical immunity to any form of Chaos corruption to provide a formidable mindset even at his young age, though he is presently still at a stage when his knowledge of the Emperor's foes is largely decided by the Inquisitor. TIME WITH INQUISITOR: Charne has been with Inquisitor (name) for six years. (Further detail regarding the Inquisitor's investigations in this time will require collaboration.)
This is still in draft form, as I have not yet been able to update it to fit with the relevant Inquisitor information.
