Violet felt herself falling fast. A few quick attempts at controlling her dream later, the relatively stunning revelation that she was wide awake struck her. Luckily, she was incredibly high in the air, giving her plenty of time to reflect on her imminent demise. Looking around her she saw a world unlike anything she'd ever seen before, and more immediately important, a strange device on her left wrist with... a small deck of cards? Carefully turned so that her back was to the ground she pulled the cards out and held them close to her body to help negate the wind of falling against them and looked at them. What better way to spend my last moments? Card games. The cards were... She blinked. Blank? Quickly counting them, she found that she had ten blanks cards of some sort before all but two were ripped from her grasp into the air. Fantastic. she thought as her eyes narrowed. She sighed and placed one card back in its place on the device, focusing on the other. If this were some sort of anime... This card would be a wildcard, wouldn't it? Several thoughts raced through her mind before one settled firmly front and center. She looked over the device on her wrist again and confirmed that it did in fact have what seemed to be a card scanner. Deciding that if she was going to die, she was going to go out like a winner, she turned so that she was facing the ground and held the blank card in front of her. "I... reject?" Nothing happened. Oh, right. Not cool enough. Once again holding the card away from her towards the ground, she held her left arm close to her body. "I reject!" she exclaimed before quickly sliding the card through the scanner. And to her surprise, something happened. The card now had a picture of six white wings on it and the name "White Wings" on the side. It took her several moments of staring at the card before she realized that she had spent several moments staring at it and should have by all accounts hit the ground already. A look behind her revealed six wings matching those on the card behind her which seemed to be slowing her fall. ... Duly noted. she thought as she glided towards a nearby forest. Now how do I get rid of these when I land?
