The gigantic beast seemed to turn it's head about, scanning the area as if searching for something. It's head craned towards the spot where the woman was hiding, as if knowing she was there. In an extremely rapid movement, it's beak crashed into the ground directly in front of Charlotte, burying into it as if a drill. After shaking for a moment, the beak had a newly deceased rabbit struggling helplessly on it's point for a few seconds in life's final struggle before it expired. Withdrawing it's head towards the sky, the bird began to fly with it's prey hanging on the end of it's spear. Whether it hadn't noticed the black haired woman or simply wasn't interested in eating her would remain a mystery. If the woman bothered to look for a feather, she would see a single large one inserted between two branches high above her - it would be quite the climb.
