[/hider] Jared has the look of a typical Irishman, red hair and all. He has worked to suppress most of his accent to appear higher class to the customers, but he still retains much of it. He is fairly well built due to the training he put himself through to prepare for space travel as well as to offset the calories consumed from testing his own meals.

Personality: Jared is an ambitious man, used to pulling himself up by his own bootstraps. He is working long hours all for the purpose of reaching the current pinnacle of being a cook: working at the Imperial Lounge. He has always felt as though his background demands that he prove himself to He takes his work extremely seriously and is immensely focused while cooking. While he is in the kitchen, he can be somewhat tyrannical, barking orders every few moments if he feels his staff is not working at his own level. When his staff performs well on the other hand, he is quick to point it out. However, when he is off work, Jared relaxes his serious air, and has some measure of warmth. He would never turn down someone hungry.  

Bio: Jared was born in Ireland, the youngest of four brothers and sisters. His parents worked hard in order to provide for their family and often did not have enough time to spend the amount of time that they would have preferred with their children. Luckily, his grandmother lived nearby and often the McCaffrey children would spend time in her home while their parents worked through the evening. His grandmother, an excellent cook in her own right, showed them all how to cook even with limited ingredients. Jared rarely expressed an interest in it until his parents were able to get a night off together and his grandmother cooked them all a full dinner. As he watched his family come together over the home cooked meal, he marveled at cooking’s ability to bring people together and from then on he learned the art voraciously. 

Jared worked hard and long, eventually managed to secure a scholarship position at a prestigious cooking academy where he learned the more advanced techniques to create a truly modern gourmet meal. After working through internships at several high scale restaurants across Earth, providing some much needed revenue to his family back in Ireland. However, when the opportunity came to sign up to be onboard the Lovis Superbia, he leaped at the chance. The Garfunkel Coporation’s Imperial Lounge employs only those cooks of the highest quality and Jared want to prove to himself that he stands among them. Given his young age, he could only join one of the lower tier restaurants.

Other: The restaurant where he cooks is called The Painted Lady. While still high class enough to cater to the likes of the passengers upon Lovis Superbia, the Imperial Lounge far outclasses it.
