I made a slight change in how my character acts. It will conflict with how he has acted towards the newcomers already, but I like this idea more.

Keep in mind I've been pulling all of this out of my tuccus as we go on lol.

My idea is that he is an escaped experiment. Scientists were trying to find a perfect balance between elemental powers and ended up with him. Essentially a weapon that cannot be communicated with unless a special communicator is worn. Hence the hostile reaction to speaking to him.
