That was fine by him though, if they wanted to drop their son off in some strangers care than he didn't exactly care to meet them. His foster parents were nice enough anyways, even if they weren't exactly strict. Ro could leave all night without a word and come back and they wouldn't question a second of it. He appreciated that, even if he did take advantage of it sometimes. He would get mixed up with what some might call the wrong crowd, but he was smart about what he did and how he did things so that no one had anything on him. Besides, it wasn't like he was a bad kid or anything, just a bad place. The border town he grew up in was basically lawless and he had to watch everyday as drugs, violence, and money tore the place apart, tore families apart. He hated seeing it, and he had no doubt it was what tore his parents from him at a young age but he couldn't escape it. He had worked jobs all across town so that when he was old enough to he got his license and bought a car. Sure, he had drove before that but doing so legally was far more convenient and it meant that he was definitely experienced. Driving just came naturally to him, he had some sort of knack for it and with it he was very useful to the people who called this place their home. He ran drugs, he ran weapons, he just ran. He was smart too, and her learned the landscape and town better than anyone else, knew the ins and outs and knew them well. He was fast and maneuverable, no one could catch him, hell they couldn't even see him coming. It was a good setup and he put some of the money towards his foster parents. They deserved some for housing him and he was sure they turned a blind eye to what he did. The rest of the money went to his car and stuff like a TV for his room, kid stuff. Eventually gang culture broke out and the town turned on itself and the gang rivaling the one Rohan did work for said that if he didn't get out of the game his foster family was done for. He took it to heart and realized he needed away from the place. He told his foster parents he needed a fresh start and after a somewhat tearful mostly understanding goodbye, he was off on the road. Rohan had heard of Neo Bay, moves being made there and it was tempting, especially since no one knew him there, no one had anything on him. He had no place else to be so he figured he might as well check it out, it was about time for a road trip anyhow. It was a great place, sure and there was plenty of opportunities for someone like him to make money. First off, the street racing scene. This was where he started making moves, making cash. He learned the city over time and as he did he found that no one could match him in a car or any other vehicle really. He weaved and drifted like no one else even dared think about doing, so needless to say he won a lot. Secondly, once his name got out there it turned out corporations were willing to shell out a lot of dough for someone who could 100% get what they needed where they needed. Turns out when there's no law, people aren't above trying to sabotage companies by ramming their deliveries off of the road and trying to sabotage them by stealing the product in transport. Luckily for him, Rohan never got caught. He became pretty popular in both scenes, and that was just fine by him. Not to mention sometimes they persuaded him to jack a rival car, and get it back. He knew a car inside and out, and it put money on the table and that's all he cared about. One day he finally got caught, a branch of a company that didn't look kindly on him sabotaged the vehicle they were having him drive. They thought he would die in the crash but he lived with a few injuries and crawled from the wreck. He wasn't so much caught as he got out of the game playing around with corporations. He heard of a new organization, a force called C.O.P.S. Rohan figured he had the perfect resume to get in and was willing to do just about anything to get in and get out of the politics game of mega-corporations and maybe make the difference he wished he had seen in his old border town.
