An official statement by the government on the current situation was last released on August 17th, 2018.

[i]The Government of Canada has recognized the current threat of the infected as a national and international crisis affecting Canada and it's interests. Citizens are advised to seek shelter and prepare for the worst. The Canadian Forces have set up a base of operations around the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia, Ontario, and are prepared to take in survivors.

[i]Two distinct types of infected have been identified at this time, and are as follows:[/i]

[color=39b54a][b]Screecher | Common:[/b][/color] Slow-walking paced movement, reduced senses of smell and hearing. Identified by the frequent, audible screeching noise they produce.

[color=ed1c24][b]Sprinter | Very Uncommon:[/b][/color] Running paced movement in short bursts, heightened sense of hearing and smell, reduced vision. Identified by a lean, almost skeletal appearance.
