As the two of them walked on, Geoffrey took note of a hushed chatter coming from around a corner ahead of them, and put his arm in front of Kehah gingerly, to slow their pace. As they came upon the turn in the hall, Geoffrey listened on as there was a doorway just further down the turn, which appeared open, and the voices emanated from there. Geoffrey turned and approached, keeping slow and quiet, but still away from the wall lest he drag the tip of his sheath against it. As he peered through the doorway, Geoffrey spotted the Confederate soldier begin to grasp at his dagger, pinning the servant girl to the wall. A small scowl spread across Geoffrey's face as he stood upright, walking through the door toward him, the whole while thinking up a clever way to address him without having to draw his blade. That'd be one way to ensure I get some lashings, Geoffrey figured, fixing a feigned smirk upon his lips. "Hey now, friend, this servant lass must've given you quite a fright to be drawin' a blade at, don't you suppose?" Geoffrey let out a small sigh as he stood behind the ranger, gently placing the palm of his hand on his sword's pommel.
