[@Joytex] Any man who has been gentled is kept under close watch by Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, often put to work in the White Tower. They lose the will to live. I'm afraid the 'False Dragon' idea just won't work. If you make a current False Dragon, they will be put down by the Red Ajah as soon as possible. Their entire thing is preventing wrong use of the One Power- and being a False Dragon is pretty much the epitome of that. We're sticking by the rules of Jordan's work, sorry.

EDIT: To reiterate what Jordan said, they cannot bear to live any longer. The few that survive the depression must have something incredibly pressing that they can devote their lives to; and a man who believed himself the Dragon would never turn on his principles, to serve the Shadow. There's just no way one's passions could shift so drastically.
