If players want it, I would actually be more open to discussing more complex individual powers as manifestations of qi, though naturally it would make a bit more work for we GMs in terms of individual approval for each character's powers. That said, I'm also considering making a bit of a mapped out premise for how qi works, likely partially based on the Five Classical Chinese elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water with the addition of Air, that could be used and combined in various ways for various effects. Either thing is fine by me depending on player preference, with the addendum that we'd probably have to be a bit reserved with the former and have overall authority on if an unforseen potential loophole with a power or a level of oddity oversteps the bounds of what fits the setting, level of fairness and tone.
