The Koprulu sector has had a troublesome and bloody past, filled with strife and worry that spread through all who live within its boundaries. To this day, many of these hardships remain with the oppressive Terran Dominion and the fear of the merciless Zerg threat that lingers in the stars. Many years have passed since the last sighting of Raynor's Raiders in the Koprulu sector, but soon they will be at the forefront once more with Raynor leading them, helping to fan the fires of rebellion.

[Planet]: In orbit above Mar Sara.

"Five minutes untill dropship departure, assigned crewmembers are to gather their equipment and report to the hanger immediately." The Hyperions Adjutant was currently giving orders over the ship's com's rather than Matt. Word had come a few days ago from Raynor to kick the revolution into overdrive with a number of other more specific orders regarding Mar Sara and the Dominion forces upon it. The ship was alive with movement as each crewmember carried out these orders swiftly and to the letter. There would be no mistakes and everything would run smoothly, if Raynor's Raiders had anything to say about it. The feeling of excitement and anxiousness filled every corridor and room of the Hyperion, they had been waiting for this moment for many years, and now their plans were about to be carried out in full.

Inside of the hanger, a small squad of elite Raynor's Raiders had gathered alongside normal Terran Marines that were prepping for departure. Each of the elite soldiers had unique gear compared to the next, showing off their rank and importance as well as their specialty. One of these elite soldiers was inspecting the interior of the Quantradyne APOD-33 dropship they would be taking to the planet's surface, separate from the one that Raynor and the other Terran Marines would be taking. She wore a more slim version of the Terran Marine armor that she had customized to help with her advanced combat role. It had been painted a digital camo that was black and grey with custom skeletal figure decals across it.

"Additional equipment is secure and ready for departure, once we get the all clear, we will be on our way." The other elite soldiers nodded at Solares before moving onto the dropship and finishing checking over their gear for the last time. A few moments passed before Matt H. could be heard over the ship's coms, telling everyone that the dropships were now cleared to launch. Making a circle motion with her hand, Solares motioned for the dropship pilot to close the back door and departed. Everything happened in a moments notice, both of the ships were now flying beside each other while their occupants went over their orders once more.

Raynor was on the first shuttle with the normal Terran Marines, while Solares and her crew were alone with the pilots who flew them. In a quick but smooth movement, both ships broke off and went their own way. The voice of Raynor wishing all of them the best of luck and that they would meet up for drinks and a meal once they had completed their missions upon Mar Sara. In a few seconds, neither of the ships could see each other with the naked eye. "We will arrive shortly, prepare to departe, follow my orders and this will go smoothly." said Solares before she took her own seat and strapped herself in. In a few short moments, the dropship would arrive at its destination, using the cover of a violent sandstorm to hide their dropoff.

"Alright, back door is opening, good luck down there raiders! Let me know when pick up is required." said the main pilot as she pressed a button upon the control panel in front of her. As soon as the door opened, the back of the shuttle was filled with a fine dark red sand that swirled around Solares and her squad violently. Each of the members of Solares's squad would jump out of the back of the shuttle, taking turns, gracefully landing upon the hard dirt ground below them. Solares was the last to depart from the shuttle, grabbing onto her C-15 Gauss rifle as soon as she hit the ground. The shuttle quickly left them and ascended into the sky, vanishing from sight and leaving them on their own for now. At long last, it was time to bring vengeance upon the Dominion.

Hello and welcome to StarCraft 2: Insurrection! This RP takes place at the same time frame of StarCraft 2 Wings of Liberty. The RP will start at the same time that Raynor and his raiders are on the mission known as Liberation Day. There will be little canon interaction, I like to avoid messing around with characters of the such, when I can help it. As the small introduction to the story above says, a Terran Marine known as Solares is currently leading an elite team of Raynors Raiders on an important side mission while Raynor and a number of other normal Terran Marines work to destroy and Dominion Logistics center. Your character will be one of these elite Raynors Riaders that have been dropped off by a Quantradyne APOD-33 dropship at Hellslake, not far from where their objective, a large Dominion Command center, is waiting to be infiltrated. My main character Solares is leading this elite Raynors Raiders team for the moment and will be giving out orders shortly. As a side note, if there are any questions, constructive criticism, or concerns, please let me know.

Personality:
Ansgar is a strange man, by all accounts, doubly so considering his status as a Marshall. He is one to waive the rules and regulations if it means getting a job done properly, often times sweeping things under the rug or otherwise overlooking things that, while by all accounts illegal, certainly are better than the alternative. This makes him quite the target for hard liners, which lead to his colonial posting to get him farther away from anywhere he could make progress. Ansgar is never perturbed by this at all, rather, as long as he can keep getting things done, that is all he is concerned about. The perfect definition of a pragmatic soul, if its something he can do, and it will accomplish his goal, he will do it without a second thought. Nor will he feel bad about it later, after all, he is doing what he has to, and that is all there is to it. Even though this puts him at odds with hard line soldiers who follow orders to the letter, and idealists who would follow the rules and expect things to still work out well.

Tell us a little bit about your character:
He was born in the UPL, the predecessor to the United Earth Directorate in one of the few countries that was still not in the fold of it's nations where he was a career soldier and had happily married and had children. Eventually with the discovery of Protoss, Zerg and the revelation of the experiment to send all sorts of prisoners long ago and their arrival to Koprulu the UED was made, and the last few independent nations on Earth joined it. Richard joined the expeditionary force to Koprulu where he fought for earth and glory like the idealist he was.

However, the war got bad for the original Terrans and they fled. Richard did not make the evacuation to the battlecruisers but instead made it to some dropships which instead of going to earth went as far from the zerg as possible. Eventually he dropped off in Umoja where he ambled around as a bouncer and sat depressed that he would never see his comrades or friends again.

After a few years he got up and after some drunken flying left and right landed on Mar Sara, drifting about the deserts waiting to turn himself in to the first group that saw him be it the Raiders or Dominion. By chance it was the Raider's who took the man in and interrogated him as to why he came. He explained that there was nothing left for him, and he simply gave up on everything. Eventually, after much internal deliberation he agreed and grudgingly became one of the Raiders.

Now, he fights along the people he only a few years ago killed en-masse, although the Dominion is the same old enemy it was before. He doesn't have a single bit of the fanaticism and ideology of the other raiders, but in battle maintains a steady professionalism that got him to be a Lieutenant on Earth.

With the Purification Project on Earth there were no cybernetic nor genetic enhancements to be had, so he is in essence a "pure" human. However he does not lag behind the stimm saturated Marines of Koprulu, him being a career soldier, having a great and rich diet on Earth, so on and so forth. He has bouts of near suicidal depression and crying as his new home is "this God-fucked shithole they call Koprulu."
