Howlite
Clinohumite shoved her head down before she could obey the angry Tugtupite. “Alright alright. Switching it off.” she muttered. She switched back to night vision, seeing as nobody had noticed her using it before and continued to look over at the Sodalite in the distance as Clinohumite vanished beneath the dirt. So this was one of the Crystal gems that had presumably ousted most of Homeworld from earth for thousands of years and who the vitriol spitting Tugtupite was so worried about. Considering Sodalites where linguists and negotiators she was not sure what all the fuss was about, how weak was Homeworld now that this was what they were frightened of. She had drones and a (admittedly failed) super soldier, how was someone whose purpose was data acquisition and negotiation so concerning. “She appears to be alone, why don’t you just send the robots and the fabulous warrior to capture the linguist? She does not seem to be that much of a threat.” Perhaps the crystal gems had sent her her to perform diplomacy or had simply not expected Homeworld to send forces to collect them. Either way she was interested in what the gem had to say and so was attempting to force a confrontation rather than having to sneak away with the Tugtupite before seeing what the other side might be like. She searched further afield with the invisible rays of infrared light trying to see if she missed anyone else, briefly glimpsing a massive gem somewhere near one of the sides of the canyon. She was about to point this out when several things happened at once. Firstly the Clinohumite arrived in a shower of dirt with a small and probably rather startled and confused Seraphinite. How the showy gem had managed to keep her immaculate appearance was beyond her, not exactly a useful skill but whoever had designed the gem had gone for flash over substance. Aesthetically she could not argue with the result but presumably such a focus had left gaps in other areas that had lead to their being discarded by Homeworld. The second was Marnie being the first of the newborns to experience poofing as she fell from the robot. For a gem type that boosted agility as a skill this one had the athleticism of a drunk human, Howlite face-palmed as the Marnie’s gem lands in the muddy puddle her water mimicry power causes. Returning her focus to the hulking gem that appeared to be a kind of quarts. Eisenkiesel the kindergarten helpfully supplied, notable among quartzes for their ability to summon a crystalline armor. Interestingly the Kindergarten's systems list her as one of the guards here, even right up until the end of the war, what was she still doing here. If her lip movements were any indication she was apparently muttering to herself as she walked, covered in dirt and soil as if she had just emerged. How curious, Howlite was not sure what to make of her. She kept her voice down like Clinohumite had and brought this to the attention of Tugtupite. “Tugtupite, there appears to be an red and yellow striped quarts down here as well” She pointed out into the darkness at the barely visible hulking gem. “I don’t think she is a crystal gem, no star shaped markings like on the other one”
