Amelie had been prepared when the arrow was launched, and tipped it up to fly over the car. In her mind she figured that they’d be safe from the lightning as long as they stayed in the car. Then… the sound of the impact made her flinch and made her open her eyes wide in surprise. What? That arrow should have sailed straight over the car! That’s why she only did about thirty degrees, to maintain most forward momentum! But then she pictured it in her mind; the arrow curving unnaturally downwards in mid-air, homing in towards them, yet not being able to turn the entire way fast enough and instead impacted the back of the car. ‘Shit,’ she cursed, suddenly making the assumption that the crossbowman was a magician and that the arrow had been homing. This regardless of the simple truths that Amelie may not have realized. That meant said arrow-tip could have been loaded with any amount of magical powers that were doing gods knew what behind them. Whatever it was, it really didn’t sound like staying in the car was a viable option anymore. Yet, she didn’t want to let the people in front of her out of her sight, and if she stepped out the lightning sphere might…! Amelie hesitated, but her action was chosen for her as the woman from before grabbed her arm and pulled. Not being about to doubt the intention of an adult, Amelie broke to run at the door with her. If given the opportunity, she’d jump out and dash for a building, intending to make distance from the car. The redirection orb in front of the car fell, Amelie confirmed somewhat uncomfortably that the gunman appeared to have handled that threat anyway. She did not realize the knight had charged out the front depending on her protection when she dropped the defensive orb, this largely due to no communication. If she managed to get out of the car then instead she created a new orb in between herself and the back of the car. Due to the peculiarities of her powers, Amelie made sure to turn around to face the car and run as well as she could backwards, so she’d be able to see her own orb. Just in case a sudden danger shot through the redirection orb at her from whatever was happening at the back of the car and she needed to redirect it, likely upwards to not hit any of the others by mistake. If the woman that pulled her arm also ran, Amelie would be following her and the location of the redirection orb would calibrate accordingly to protect the two of them.
