There were certain unspoken rules about not vending on the lawn proper, but nearby was generally considered acceptable. With the appearance of a new dungeon, Tessa knew there was business to be made as many adventurers would try and fail repeatedly to find the best optimization for this dungeon. This usually meant buying and re-buying enchantments as they tweak and modify their equipment and builds. Of course, she couldn't work that quickly, and if there was a high demand and a sufficient amount of impatience, she could raise her prices and no one would bat an eyelash. It also gave her a preview of what to expect in the dungeon, for example: if people commissioned more anti-magic runes, then there was probably a lot of magic damage in the dungeon, or at least a particularly nasty magic-based boss. Of course, seeing what other people were building let her give suggestions to her less-informed customers, making her advice seem more legitimate. Groups were good for business too, especially if one had already gone into the dungeon. They usually gave their group members advice or suggestions on how best to deal with the dungeon and often pointed them to the nearest enchanter (Tessa) for optimization and tweaks. However, Tessa's pool of crystal powder was running a bit low, suggesting it was about time she made the plunge herself to restock on supplies. She might bring it up with the next person to come to her booth and suggest firming a gathering group, as long as she didn't immediately assume they were a prick.
