"I think he was just melting like that because of his DT levels. Monster souls can't withstand DT like Human Souls can take Chara for example. She might have Half a human soul but the other half is a Monster soul of Hatred, and when he DT levels get so high her voice ends up distorting or glitching out in a way before she ends up getting a melty face.
