[@JBRam2002], that essentially was and is my approach in the other game I find myself in, but we are doing milestone experience. We are still first level for reference. I have played many archetypes like that before, such as a d20 Modern Cleric of Sekhmet who prestige classed into Ordained Champion and Prestige Paladin. As much as I enjoy it, I never get to go far with them. The only thing that makes Oath of the Ancients more difficult to handle is a Boon of Spell Resistance. Charisma to saving throws, half spell damage on a fail or quarter on a pass, and advantage on saving throws, all with the ability to add Bless on it? I would almost cease sending spellcasters after a character like that; it is just not bound to work. Stone sorcerer I am attempting to conjure up a way to do thematically in a manner that feels right. In truth I considered mixing it with the Hexblade warlock for the simple fact I could use Charisma for virtually anything. Sadly, first level makes that a big complex. At the moment I am holding off dedicating to anything, but I keep being resold on paladins almost every game this edition, even though I have been advocating for them since I started. And by that I mean Green Knights and Champions of the Ferine.
