It is capable of intelligent thought, but doesn't use its intelligence to the fullest when conversing with others, preferring to keep responses somewhat brief and generic unless it's absolutely necessary; instead, it uses its intellect to formulate battle strategies based on experience and knowledge, making the parasite a rather pragmatic being in that regard. History: The parasitic life form known only as 'Krustiger' was created in a laboratory thousands of light years away as a bioweapon. Capable of reanimating the corpses, bones, or fossilized remains of dead life forms and changing their minds and bodies, it was originally intended to be mass-produced for sector-wide military use. However, shortly after the first specimen was completed and pronounced successful, the laboratory was invaded and the hopes of mass-producing the parasite were shattered. Miraculously, the original Krustiger managed to escape amidst the chaos and latched onto the hull of one of the invaders' ships. Eventually, while passing over Earth, the vessel lost power and crashlanded on the blue planet. The ship and its pilot were completely destroyed, but the parasite survived, having dislodged from the vessel before it crashed. The Krustiger then infected the first carcass it found: A being known as 'Fafnir', a giant wyrm which spat poison but was eventually slain by the Norse hero Sigurd. The carcass was brought to life within a day. ...At least, as alive as machines go. The parasite Krustiger, which is for all intents and purposes pseudo-mechanical, twists and warps its dead victims' bodies and minds by mechanizing them, therefore removing all traces of humanity that were ever present in that individual. As a result, the wyrm that was once Fafnir soon became nothing more than a giant mechanical puppet for the parasite to control. However, as a gigantic mechanical dragon armed with lethal weaponry is about as subtle as a gatling gun that fires nukes at the same rate of fire as a normal gatling gun, the Krustiger has the ability to, like most kaiju, disguise itself as a human, or at least an android. All in all, the Krustiger is most likely the technically smallest kaiju (the parasite itself is only about 13 centimeters tall) on record, but it is by no means one that should be taken lightly. Powers/Abilities Parasite Form: The Krustiger in its purest form is capable of modifying the remains of dead life forms and mechanizing them, turning them into powerful tools of destruction. Since the altered forms are mechanical and the parasite itself is pseudo-mechanical and thus cannot breathe, they are completely immune to any form of suffocation (which includes the vacuum of space) or gases which are harmful to inhale. In addition, the Krustiger parasite's armor plating is made of an unearthly alloy impervious to all forms of impact, which, when also taking into consideration its immunity to most gases, makes it not unlike a cockroach. Fafnir Form: The Krustiger's Fafnir exoskeleton, which it is currently inhabiting, is made of a similar yet weaker alloy than its parasite form's armor plating, merely highly resistant to impact and not completely immune. However, as it is mechanical, it is still immune to suffocation and most gases. The Fafnir is armed with twin cannons that can fire various things; laser beams, explosives containing poison, plasma bullets, and freeze rounds, to name a few. The exoskeleton is also capable of emitting EMP bursts for stunning mechanical opponents. The Fafnir's plating is also further protected from physical attacks by a field of static electricity, which shocks most anyone or anything that makes physical contact.
