Sayuri groans as the morning sunlight suddenly hits her face waking her rudely. Opening her eyes and looking around she groans again this time in irritation, she'd fallen asleep on watch. Not that she could really blame herself. The past four days had taken a lot out of her. Being stuck in an area below the islands surrounded by S-Class beasts, which normally wouldn't have been impossible alone but she had a broken arm, bruised ribs and several other injuries though none major, was the least of her issues. She had no way to contact her guild as her communication lacrima had shattered when she hit the ground she also had to deal with one of the Librarium's dogs. Problem was her broken leg and rib kept her from moving around too much so she'd been stuck with wandering for food for the most part. She'd had to carry her to this small outcropping, which while it protected them from the elements it was still vulnerable to mid sized creatures, and forage for things to patch them up and eat and drink. Added with only getting 3-4 hours of sleep each night her exhaustion added up.

Sighing she gets up wincing as her whole body protested and made her way under cover to make sure everything was good. Thankfully they'd been left alone as evidenced by the lack of anything moved from the night before. Checking to make sure the Library Hunter, Marianne if she remembered right, was still sleeping, she was or at the very least laying with her eyes closed, she moved to get breakfast ready and decide what needed to be done that day.

"Tell me, are all of you pirates so lacsadaisical in your duties or are are you just a special case of incompetence." A biting voice spoke from one corner of their out-cropping, belonging the white haired woman that Sayuri currently found herself stuck with. With piercing grey eyes, she glared at the red headed pirate as if willing her to combust on the very spot. Marianne had made her displeasure with the situation highly well-known, and while she would've killed the blasted pirate if given the chance before the wreck, as she was currently, even her pride wasn't strong enough to refuse a hand in surviving this hell-hole. [color=Ivory][i]Stranded in the underlands with nothing but savage beasts, a damn pirate for company, and a broken leg for company. Shifting slightly, the hunter hissed in pain, her leg protesting greatly to any attempts of hers to move it. "*Ugh*. . .So, pirate, what is your plan for today? More fruitless searches for food instead of getting out of this damn place as fast we can, I assume."

Marianne let out another groan of pain, her scolding of the pirate seeming to have agitated her broken ribs. Gritting her teeth through the pain, Marianne reached down into the pack by herself, pulling out a single leaf from a hidden pocket stitched to the inside. The leaf bore an odd black coloration, but the veins that ran through it were alight with a crystalline blue glow, a sign of the magical aura that rna through it even after being long picked from the plant it was harvested from. Placing it on her tongue, Marianne reclined her head back as she slowly suckled on the leaf, allowing the magically-induced chemicals to dull her senses, letting out a soft sigh of relief as the familiar numbness seeped into her body.

Sayuri sighs when Marianne's voice came from the corner with a biting comment about her falling asleep,'Curse my sense of honor... Hope she has some of her own' Shaking her head she grabs the last of the meat, creates an arm and a knife with her aura, and starts cutting it into strips for their meals for the next couple days, "No we're generally not this lax... Well I'm not usually this lax. Can't say the same for a couple of my guildmates. I didn't fall asleep last night I actually passed out from exhaustion. Caused by keeping us alive, I might add, as you can't exactly fight well in your condition," grabbing some fruits she checks them before cutting two up and throwing another 2 out the entrance landing a good distance away, "As for the 'useless foraging' no. I'm actually going to take a look around for a better location for us to stay, preferably with a decent place to bathe as I'd rather not go without for an extended period. I'm going to forage and hunt some more tomorrow so we can survive for the next month if not two at the shortest. We had little to no chance of escape with your leg broken. Add your ribs and we have no chance. So we wait for us to heal simple as that."

Standing she grabs a small portion and takes it to Marianne before starting on her own. It consisted of three small strips of cold meat and a sliced up fruit. It wasn't much but it was enough to keep them alive and healthy. Frowning she reaches into a pocket in her jacket and pulls out a photo of Irene in the airship laughing along side a couple of their guildmates. Staring at it she wondered what her ship was doing. She doubted they would risk a group to try and find her considering how dangerous the area they were in was. She just hoped Irene had made it back alright and that her guildmates were taking care of her. She sighs as all she can do is hope.

"I can fight just fine." was Marianne's muddled response, her unfocused eyes attempting to form a glare at the other woman. Alas, it was becoming somewhat difficult to string her thoughts together as the effect of Juno's Mercy began to strengthen in her system. Letting out a low breath, she slowly began to eat the meal set out before her, chewing it in a slow methodical fashion as she stared off into space. As she ate, she stared at the pirate woman besides her, curiosity worming it's way through her hazy stupor.

"Why do you all do it? Fighting the Librarium the way you do? Don't any of you realize how little you actually do in the long run to actually help people?" Trying, and failing, to rise her self up on her elbows, Marianne turned her gaze in Sayuri's direction, though it was clear that she wasn't really looking at Sayrui as she spoke. "You just make everything worse, encouraging fools to die fighting a hopeless battle, ruining lives as they go about it as well as giving credence to crimnals and scum. It accomplishes nothing. . . so why? Why do any of it?"

Sayrui narrowed her eyes when she realized why Marriane had seemed off the couple days when she'd come back. She'd been taking something, "Not while you're on that stuff you can't. You'd just get yourself killed if you tried. Especially considering where we are. Don't underestimate S-Class beasts," she met her gaze with a cold look, "You'd better be extremely careful with whatever it is. I doubt you'll be able to get much more," she meets her gaze for as long as Marianne tries before continuing to eat. In the several minutes of silence she mentally plans a route she'll take where there could be some decent caves or other places to stay. Just as she was about to start gathering her things Marianne asks why they, referring to Sky Pirates in general probably, fight the Librarium. Sayuri glanced over and sighed, ”I guess I could say a little...”

Sayuri looks off into the distance and frowns slightly, ”I'm... Not exactly the best person to ask something like that. I was never exactly given a choice. My Father is a Sky Pirate as was my Mother. I've been surrounded by Sky Pirates and Magic my whole life. Personally I try to avoid fighting the Librarium. It causes too many problem. Besides they're generally the ones who hit first. What I do is fight the corruption they ignore or protect people or villages that ask of it as well as those who pay,” she returns her gaze to Marianne, ”All I do is protect those who the Librarium won't. However small of a difference that is. As for crime and scum... No we don't. The Sky Pirates that attack innocents? They're Rouge Guilds. Most guilds follow a code laid out by the Pirate Kings to protect people. I have even taken it upon myself to stop some Rouge Guilds myself. So why do I do it? To make things easier for the people who can't do it themselves. Also fuck the Sisterhood of Juno. If I could destroy it I would,” she stands and makes her way over to gather some of her things for the day, ”I could ask something similar of you. Why do you work for the Librarium if you know how corrupt and oppressive it is?”

Marianne Shimizu

"Tch. . . so small-minded and closed off." Marianne's distant eyes seemed to focus for a split second as a tinge of disgust entered her tone after hearing the pirate's attempt at distancing herself and other like her from the wretches. "Don't you get that the existence of those like you is the reason why groups of wretches and rebels are able to act as freely as they do? Just by merely existing, you and the other oh-so-noble guilds are making an environment where these 'Rogue guilds' can do much more damage then if you weren't there in the first place. Defiance only breathes more defiance, especially when it has no purpose but to defy. You may try to seem noble and dignified in your efforts to help people, but most, if not all of you are too self-absorbed in your want for freedom to even try making things better in a way that will actually matter."

Turning her head to away from Sayuri, Marianne seemed to ruminate on her anger. A few minutes of silence would pass between the two before she finally deemed ready to speak again. "The Librarium has it's flaws, but it is all we have, and more to the point, it works. More suffer under it than need be, I'll give you that Pirate, but I don't intend to sit on the sidelines and turn my head to it." Turning back to Marianne, Sayuri would see that the Library Hunter's eyes had dimmed again, yet there was still a passion burning within them as she continued to speak. "The only way to change a system without disrupting the order is to do so from within, and that's what I intend to do. I will climb the ranks to as high a position of power as I can, and then some, in order to set the country back on the right path. It may not be as easy or care-free a path as yours, but at least I'm trying to do something greater then simple skirmishes with a force you can't even hope to defeat. The Librarium has never once sent the full force of it's might against you pirates, but one day, when you all prove to become too much of an irritation to ignore. . . they will."

With that haunting remark, Marianne felt what little strength her passion had surged into her drift away from her veins, leaving her unresponsive to anything else that Sayuri tried to say as she stared off into the space, her mind able to freely be at ease with neither worry nor pain, nor even heartbreak to cloud her mind.

Sayuri just shakes her head after Marianne finishes speaking and falls under the full effect of the leaf. She'd known before even asking that Marianne'd dismiss pretty much everything she'd said as it was a matter of Philosophy rather than fact. If she had been fully aware this could have easily turned into an extremely pointless circular argument. Standing she walks over to her stuff and begins quickly preparing for the day ahead and preparing some food for Marianne's lunch whenever she came back to reality. Grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder she heads towards the mouth of the outcropping before pausing. Sighing she walks over to Marianne and drags her bag away from her ignoring all protests. She moved it just far enough that it would be difficult and painful for her to get when sober and nigh impossible when high like she is, 'That should be fare enough to make deter her from it for as long as possible. I hate to do this especially when I don't know how addicted she are but I need her sober as much as possible. This is for her own good...' she makes her way back out to the entrance. She looks back before leaving with one thought in her mind, "Damn this country and those who rule it. I would love to watch the bastards burn especially if I could burn them myself."

busy wanna give this a good shake so will update later

Sayuri growls to herself as she walks back into the cave a complete mess. Her hair had sticks and leaves stuck in her hair, there was mud splattered over her clothes and face, and she was limping slightly though obviously not badly injured. She tosses a wolf-like creatures corpse and her bag into the corner and drops to the ground in a huff before tossing her cloak to the side. Grumbling something she glances over at Marianne to check on her and whether she'd grabbed the bag or not.

Sayrui’s wandering eyes were met with an obviously irritated glare from Marianne, who seemed to have mostly sobered up from the effects of Juno’s leaf, though her eyes did still seem a bit glassy. The Hunter looked like she wanted to say something, but kept quiet after looking over her current partner, eyes darting over to where the bag lay, tantalizingly out of her reach.

”You look like you had fun. Did the beast give you that much trouble, or did something else try and steal your kill?

Sayuri sighs at Marianne's question, "Neither. A fucking ledge gave out under me on the way back. Landed on that guy when I hit the bottom. Took it by surprise so it went down without too much of a fight. Something good did come of it though I-" she was interrupted as she broke into a coughing fit covering her mouth with her hand. It only lasted about twenty seconds but was pretty fierce. after taking a little to recover her breath and check her hand she sighs in relief before continuing, "As I was saying, I found a great place we could move into about an hour north of here by foot. Only thing is we would need to wait for, at the very least, your leg to heal before moving there cause it involves some climbing. It even has a nearby creek we can use to bathe if we so choose," she turns to face Marianne looking her over once more, 'I'll bring up the drugs later... Want her fully aware when I do...'

She sighs and looks at the corpse wondering when and where she's gonna gut it so she doesn't attract too many other creatures to their current base.
