"What will you do now?" Nexus asked, keeping his body turned away from Jenso as he relaxed and breathed deeply, "Sulk like a coward? Give up on everything you have left?"

Jenso turned to Nexus and clenched his fists. "You..." Jenso muttered, glaring at the man. He sighed. "There's nothing I can do now, right? All I can do is accept my fate. So I might as well try to learn this peace power of yours." Jenso stated, and closed his eyes as he tried to relax.

Nexus didn't say a word. Jenso was overcome by the reality of his situation. Without anyone to fight for, maybe he could finally let go. Maybe his loss could finally sink in. After all, in hopelessness, there rested a rare strength. The same strength that powered Yzeira, and the order of chaos in its entirety.

Midway

Nexus had been silent for three months now, allowing Jenso to do as he pleased. Not once did he peer over towards Jenso with a shred of interest or inquiry, and it seemed Jenso had the same idea. But all this time would weight down on any man who was not used to the relentless suffering of immortality.

Jenso had been focused and meditating. In the last three months, there had been a few moments where Jenso wanted to give in to despair and run into the Void, and others where he simply wanted to charge at Nexus and attack him for lying to Jenso about being able to revive him. But all of that didn't matter now. Nexus was right in the end. Even if he somehow managed to get revenge against the Order of Chaos right now, it wouldn't bring his friends back in the end. As such, he learned how to relax and take his time to meditate. After all, he had no more reason to rush himself for anything anymore. Now, he only had the final hurdle to overcome; He needed the confidence to realise that he was more important than anyone else.

Nexus thought hard about the results of Jenso's meditation. The boy was not well informed on peace, or how to achieve it. Perhaps he didn't even want to know? Did he even understand what any of this was intended to do?

"Golden boy," Nexus called out, with his back facing Jenso.

"What is it, Nexus?" Jenso replied in a serious tone. There was no kindness or hatred in his tone of voice as he replied. He did not hate Nexus, nor did he like him very much right now. If this peace power was supposed to give Jenso the strength to accept his fate, then he might as well try to achieve it. Nexus wanted to help him to achieve it, yet apparently he'd deceived Jenso and his friends were already dead. As such, the relationship between him and Nexus were on somewhat neutral grounds right now.

"Peace is not neutrality, nor it is silence. Peace is calmness, a happy feeling, where everything matters, but it only matters for your own happiness and well being. Becoming one with the infinite expanse of the multiverse, not separating yourself from it. That's where the power comes from. The multiverse is not a grouping, but rather a system, much like an arcane network- A living being, and we are part of it. Our existence is to protect reality, in our own way, no to protect our friends. Life is merely a part of reality. Peace is knowing the bigger picture, and being at ease with it all."

Jenso turned to Nexus and frowned. "I think I figured out how to calm down, at least...but how am I supposed to feel happy when I'm dead?" He asked. "I did want to protect my world, for my own sake AND for my friends, but...It's already too late." Jenso said. Truth was, telling him that he had no reason to fight anymore was exactly how Jenso learned how to be calm and focused, despite the fact that it made him very sad for a long time.

"Reality is perception. As long as you can perceive, there is a reality to protect. Your world is insignificant, but it was all that your perception allowed you. Now that it is gone, perhaps your mind can expand. The multiverse, everyone in it, the infinite lives that remain, you can protect it by being happy. Children are being born, love is shared, and worlds continue to evolve. No matter how many are destroyed, there are an infinite number to replace those. Be at peace with this fact, and you can be happy. You are still alive, and your memories can still be catologued. If you disappear, that is when your friends, and your universe, truly dies," Nexus explained. "Yzeira has a similar methodology, albeit one that places no value in life."

Jenso smirked as Nexus spoke. He felt a glimmer of hope spark within him, one that he hadn't felt in the last three months. "You're right...I carry all of them right here..!" Jenso stated, pointing at his heart. "What the hell am I sulking for? If my friends saw me this way, they'd definitely be dissapointed." Jenso said, as his eyes sparked with Ki for a moment. "Besides, it's not my style to give up! You're right, I'll keep having hope no matter what!" Jenso shouted, remaining in his meditating position. He closed his eyes again and smiled. 'Time to think about myself now...feeling bad isn't going to help my friends now, is it?' He thought, trying to continue his meditating.

Nexus didn't say a word, and returned to his meditation. There was a lot more to overcome for Jenso, and Nexus was looking to guide him. But where was this all headed? Who even knew what would come of this? Nexus hoped for more than most, although it didn't seem that way.

Clarity

Nexus had stopped his mediation a month ago. Instead, he had been training with a blue sword that he'd conjured out of thin air, slashing and stabbing with unparalleled precision, at a clone of himself who did the same. They had trained nonstop this entire time, looking to land a blow on eachother's unarmored bodies.

Jenso had been focusing himself on trying to remain happy and be at peace with himself. He wasn't one to give up, not in the battles he had when he still lived, and he certainly didn't intend to give up now. He remained believing that his friends would have wanted him to be happy, and he truly wanted to be happy himself. He had peeked at Nexus every now and then as he trained, but remained in his position while remaining in a calm, happy state of mind.

In an instant, just as Jenso peaked over for the upteenth time, Nexus narrowed his eyes and stepped into his clone's range with his sword drawn back. Of course, his clone countered flawlessly, shearing through his chest with its sword. But with a quick flick of his arms, Nexus decapitated his clone, and snapped its sword, pulling the blade from his chest. The wound healed instantly, and his clone disappeared.

"Do you know why Prisma attacked Arcadia, Jenso?" Nexus asked, inquisitively.

"Because he's a murderous psychopath who enjoys the prospect of ending life. Zelriane told me something about that." Jenso replied plainly to Nexus, with a hint of disgust in his tone of voice.

"Well, yes. But the only reason he specifically went for Arcadia, despite how far that city was from our tower, is because I sent him there personally," Nexus admitted.

Jenso stood up, and turned to Nexus. He got in a combat stance and glared at him. "YOU WHAT?!" Jenso roared, as Ki violently bursted out of his body in the shape of flames. He grit his teeth out of sheer rage. "WHY?! ARE YOU JUST LIKE ADA THEN? WAS THIS WHOLE THING AN EXPERIMENT OF YOURS FROM THE START?!" He screamed, as his pupils began to change into white flames. Nexus could feel a large surge of power building up within Jenso. He was about to dash at Nexus and attack him if Nexus didn't do something.

"He would have made it there eventually if I didn't say anything, and if I hadn't sent him there when I did, the elementals would have destroyed a fairly massive portion of your world's population. Ada had planned that prior to knowing anything about you. Honestly, I didn't mean for you to stop that, but it was a positive outcome, none-the-less," Nexus continued, turning to Jenso without any aggression in his stance. "I had my reasons. It wasn't a sick experiment, or anything like that. I just needed something to get you going from the start."

Jenso stared at Nexus as he spoke. Part of him expected that Nexus would laugh at Jenso, and either escape or try to kill him, but fortunately this was not the case. He liked Nexus somewhat now, despite how vague his motives were at times. The Ki went back into Jenso's body as his pupils turned back to normal. 'Man...I'm glad I discovered this white flame stuff during training. I sure feel a lot stronger and faster when I use it, but I really feel exhausted afterwards. I only managed to learn one technique for now, though...the technique I used to rip Rajaka's arm off. I still need to master this form..' Jenso thought. "So, either way, Arcadia was doomed and my world would have been in a far worse state now. I don't like your way of getting me going, but I guess it was for the best in the end..." Jenso stated. "Still, how did you know Prisma wouldn't kill me? He nearly did, but...did he just let me live so he could kill me a second time? Or did you expect that he'd be sloppy about it?"
