*Get's random plot idea* OoooOooOO What if there were such thing has rogue gems? Like gems that aren't a part of either Homeworld or the rebellion. Instead, they roam are the kindergartens training or bubbling corrupted gems and they live in huge caves found at the end of each kinder. This is just a random idea but think about it? Wouldn't that be cool? And the Rogues would also be kinda corrupted themselves or cracked so that's how they would be able to be interacting with the corrupted gems so easily.  And maybe one of them could be a fusion between gems who came out really late meaning that no one found them to claim them and nudge them over to their side so after being alone for so long together they end up fusing somehow because they came across their first corrupted gem and that was the only way they could take it down so they end up staying like that because they want to like how Ruby and Saphire is always fused in a way.

*Slightly laughs to myself and looks over at Marnie* She would end up running towards you unsure which way to go and just run int you get up and run away screaming for Tug or Spin or even Blood (Yes she will end up giving each gem she meets nicknames because she is a small child like that)

*Marnie forms and sits there confused and adorable*
*Rebellion goes to see who she is and how she got there*
*Homeworld destroys the rebellion*

Short version: Marnie is the decoy.

Marnie turns out to be the evilest character here but she doesn't want to show out of fear she would scare everyone alway.... That's kinda depressing...
