Victor was a welcome face, though the continuous tension and animosity between him and Alice was prominent as ever. "You and I are the decorating team this year?...Well this will be magnificent. I'm so happy your finally home. You've been gone to long." She responded. Maggie was entertained at the idea of being the decorator this time around. Lasts years party had been positively plain, compared to even one of Maggie's more basic parties. It was true, Maggie did tend to go all out and make a show of it. The annual anniversary party was always amusing, and this year it was a ball. Music and dancing was always a popular choice. Millions of ideas began flowing through her head, decorations, candles, flowers arrangements, themes, and color schemes. Maggie smiled at Victor after he gave a wink, and basically said he was not going to stand in the way of her fun. But then her smiling face turned to one of impatient disapproval as Victor artfully put down Alice. She jabbed her elbow into the side of Vic's ribs, and gave him a look that said, 'Really Victor? Don't start with that rubbish again. So immature.' When Alice was born all weak and fragile, Maggie and most of the family didn't expect her to live. She had never heard of a vampire, who was ill, or had any kind of human medical problem. It was bizarre, and quite a few people in the family felt ether pity, embarrassment, resentment, or shame for the poor baby Alice. Magdalene's view leaned more towards pity with a bit of curiosity thrown in. Alice's condition was an enigma in the vampire world. Maggie was pretty sure Alice knew how she felt about the whole medical issue, but she was also sure Alice knew Maggie loved her. At Alice's mention of her funeral, Maggie rolled her eyes, and stifled a frown. Death within the family was something she'd thankfully had yet to deal with. She was just about to say something semi reassuring to Alice when Nik grabbed her arm and quickly began to pull her with him down the hall. Magdalene looked behind at her younger siblings, and grinned. "This party will be my best work yet!" She said mischievously to them as Nik and her rounded the corner towards the infirmary where all the chaos was happening. As if Maggie could help. Anything other then bandaging a paper cut was beyond her expertise. In all her long life, medical understanding was never something she was interested in. Sure she had helped with the birth of her little sister Sasha, but other then that her experience as a physician was null. Once she and Nik entered the room Magdalene just stared at the armored man. She made sure to keep out of the way, and stood back against the wall. Liz, the sweetheart, was being a good attentive nurse, and Maggie really had no reason or desire to but in. Looking at the armor though, she could tell it was authentic 15th century stuff. 'Who is this guy? A vampire who was wounded, starving, and extremely behind with the times.' she thought to herself.
