Flamestorm hadn't gotten hurt, and neither had Nightpaw, but one of the warriors they had brought along had gotten hurt by the creature. Its fangs had sunken deep into the cat's forepaw, and Nightpaw had become worried about its wound. They trod back to camp, the warrior resting heavily upon Flamestorm's shoulder. The other warrior dragged the dead snake behind his lanky body, its long, serpentine form dragging upon the floor behind them. Maybe someone would see it as a meal. They made it to camp, and Flamestorm padded towards Stormfur, Nightpaw at his heels. "We killed the snake. One of the warriors has gotten injured, but Leaf-fern brought him to the medicine den already," the ginger tom's tail flicked in the direction of the fresh-kill pile, signalling out the large snake that they had slain. "It was pretty huge," Nightpaw's voice chimed in. "Do you think there will be more prey, now that the thing isn't eating all of it?"

[@Vashonn] Well, he was going to have a nice meal all to himself. The taste of the fish was absolutely delicious, and it wasn't often that he was able to enjoy great tasting food. Iceheart decided that he was lucky-- that was, until an apprentice suddenly leapt from the thicket beside him, letting out a terrible cry. The large tom turned his head towards Rainpaw, his jaw setting and his tail twitching in annoyance. Oh, for SkyTribe's sake, couldn't he get a little peace and quiet around here, for once? "What is it you want?" Iceheart questioned Rainpaw rather dryly, pawing the fish closer to him as he eyed the smaller cat warily.

[@XxLyraxX] He was impressed with his apprentice's terminology. She was learning quick, even though she was still rather young and green. Wolfmask wondered if she spent much time studying the herbs themselves, or she was simply a fast learner. "Of course. The faster that we'll be able to do it, the better. We really need these herbs by the time leaf-bare sets in," Wolfmask nodded. "I'll wait for you to sort the herbs and then--" "Wolfmask?" a small voice came from the entrance of the medicine den. He turned his head to see Leaf-fern with Aspenthroat heavily resting upon her shoulder. A large wound glinted on the dark ginger tom's forepaw. "Oh dear," he sighed, his ears flattening against his skull for a heartbeat. Wolfmask turned to retrieve wet moss from the den, his tail waving nervously. "That seems quite the nasty bite. Lay Aspenthroat on one of the nests, Leaf-fern, while I get some moss and water. Rosepaw, finish your sorting, and then we can go out and gather the blue ginger and tassleflower.
