[@Klomster] The Deliverance War (name may be changed) was fairly recently; the Quxikotl Empire was declining long before it (comes with having an Empire totally focused on war with literally nothing else), but the war and bombardment was the final nail in the coffin. It was less than 100 years ago at most but probably still pretty fresh with realistically no more than 50 years ago give or take. Maybe some where in the neighborhood of 30-40 years? Definitely enough time for one generation to grow up not having to fear the lizarddouches and to think of them as the poor (lizard)man of Jalaryias but not more than that.

Combine the pre-WW1 European idea of the Ottomans being the sick man of Europe, post-WW1 Germany getting absolutely hammered and how Chinese people thought of the Japanese post-Nanking Rape and that's about how I for see people viewing the Quxikotl. Given that the Quxikotl have been raiding and warring with everyone else for generations now, I'm curious as to why the Scharferkin would have a good opinion of the lizarddouches knowing that they'd get some very intense stares from everyone else.
