[@SleepingSilence]I dunno, stuff like Sailor Moon, Precure and Symphogear often involve the destruction of Earth (at the very least; the last arc of Sailor Moon had the fate of the universe at stake) as the villain's endgame plan. Not sure how the stakes could be higher than that. I mean hell, even Nanoha's second season involved something that would probably have destroyed Earth if it wasn't stopped.
