The trek back to town was mute and heavy with tiredness, the girls’ movements slow and decisive as to avoid wasting what energy they had left. Leisy herself was trying her best to focus on her breathing — light, gasping inhalations that echoed her footsteps that still managed to seem quiet inside her foggy brain.  [i]‘Hopefully I don’t suddenly collapse,’[/i] she thought to herself wryly. [i]If I keep this thought in mind, at least I’ll be prepared for the worst.[/i]

Once they’d arrived back in Stillwater, the girls made a beeline for the battered building they knew as the Pokemon Center. [color=gray]“Would you mind if we rested in the rooms in the back again?”[/color] Leisy asked after the old man had returned her Pokeballs. [color=gray]“We’ll probably be out before lunchtime.”[/color]

Turning to Ella, Leisy frowned and tried to gather her thoughts in her muddled brain. [color=gray]“I… don’t know if I want to spend another night here in Stillwater,”[/color] she admitted. [color=gray]“Darkrai definitely wasn’t finished with us; he merely let us go for now, and,”[/color] she sighed, [color=gray]“As childish as it seems, I’d like to get away from the place where it all happened. At least for now. What about you, Ella?”[/color]
