[@BCTheEntity]Elves can become Vampires, but Dark Elves cannot since they have a bit of the curse's taint. The Elves were effected differently by the curse, but if a Silver Elf was bitten by a Vampire and given the blood kiss, they'd turn all the same. It would similar to...let's say... 
Two men are out in the sun for an unseemly long time. One receives terrible skin cancer, while the other gets sunburned because of his physiology. That doesn't mean the sunburned guy cannot get skin cancer if someone injected a bunch of cancer cells into him, however.
