I've noticed that we're kinda short on Yu-Gi-Oh! RPs around here, and I had an idea just sorta pop into my head earlier that might actually work. Just bare with me for a spell, I'm not horribly good at writing detailed/descriptive stuff. The basic idea is that most, if not every duelist in this world has their own unique guardian monster that they can summon in a pinch to help turn the tide of battle. The summoning conditions vary from monster to monster, but they can each only be summoned, as previously stated, if the duelist they're serving is backed into a corner. It's kinda weird to explain, but the monsters themselves don't actually appear in their respective duelist's deck. They just sort of sit on the sidelines and help them in their time of dire need. The monsters automatically summon themselves when certain conditions are met, and usually require an additional cost to summon them. For example: One monster might require a tribute of monsters from their protected player whose total levels equal 12 or more, and can only be summoned when that player has at least 3 monsters on the field. In terms of actual plot, I'm not 100% sure on what I want to go for, but I was thinking something along the lines of the Battle City arc from the original series, i.e. Super rich guy holds a tournament so he can gather together as many of a certain kind of super powerful monster as possible. Something like that. If anybody is interested, I would love to have a Co-GM that I can work on plot-related things with and basically function as me if/when I'm not around. With that said, I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts.
