Anthony Scott
Anthony sighed as he finished his third book for the day. It had been a good book, with a strong mix of story and romance, but the main character had been far too annoying. He would have to make sure to avoid that for the next book he wrote. Meh, he might as well get working on it. The last book had given him a number of ideas. However, as he sat down at the computer to pull up the various files required he saw a strange window open on his desktop.
_______________________ To: AntHoney@freewrite.org _______________________ From: Digicore@Digicenter.gov _______________________ Greetings Tamer, This is being sent to you as you have been selected as an esteemed Digimon Tamer. Press Accept to start your journey. Press Decline and forget this email has never happened. [Accept] [Decline]
Anthony frowned, this sounded way too much like a book he had read recently, or a show he had watched. What was it again? Oh well, what did it matter, if it was anything like it this would be interesting. Of course, this was likely just going to be some kind of virus or whatever but he had everything backed up multiple times anyway. He clicked the accept button, thinking it odd that they knew his professional email...
Congratulations Tamer! You are now a certified Digimon Tamer. There should be a new program on your desktop titled “Digital Assistant Device”. Start the program up and you should receive your very own Digivice soon! How exciting! See you soon. -AKM
Anthony barely even hesitated. Might as well go all the way and see what happens right? Making sure to close and save everything first, he then opened the file expecting some type of game, and instead watched as a screen of binary code went by too fast for him to make out what it said and then a physical object came though his screen. It was at that point that Anthony knew his life of boredom was (hopefully) over. He grabbed the Purple phone like device he took to be the 'Digivice' at looked at the screen in case it said anything else.
Enjoy your digivice. When you’re ready, point the front of your device toward your monitor and say “Digital Gate, Open!”.
Anthony wondered how many would just open the gate right away. He quickly changed into some heavy jeans (with a belt), a white t-shirt, a black over-shirt with a design the same color as the Digivice, put on his shoes, and packed his shoulder bag with a coat, an extra set of pants, and a half gallon bottle of water. He also made sure to grab his multi-tool and digital watch. After checking over everything he aimed the front of his Digivice at the screen. "Digital Gate: Open!" Anthony felt himself get pulverized into a fine powder that fell through a tunnel of some sorts. After an unknown amount of time he felt himself get put back together. In the air. Falling. At least he landed on something soft...ish. Just before he felt like someone else fell on him. or multiple someones considering the weight.
