The Soldier

Meldyr still held his gaze at the Crow while his men began to escort Otto out of the room. That is, until a number of events occurred. Juniper speaking up he should have foreseen, and indeed it did matter little. His men would take her out of the room readily enough anyway. Meldyr only gave the merest glances that way, before returning his eyes to The Crow, still brandishing his weapon. That is, until Nalia stood up. Meldyr had to admit he was a tad more at ease with The Crow being familiar with Fiona, but when Nalia ordered his men, Meldyr knew that he should trust her judgement and sheathed his own weapons. "Stand down," he said, his voice carrying a silent strength. His men followed his orders, standing back from Otto and Juniper and standing as still as statues. "Guard the guests," Meldyr ordered his men. "I want double patrols around the halls. Two men flank me as I escort the Lady and Second of the House." His men bowed to him, and hustled to follow his orders. Meldyr on the other hand, gave a bow to Nalia. "I will be right outside your study, should you need anything my lady." he told her, and when he rose he merely gazed forward. He made sure he looked at no one, so as not to give away any sense of anger toward any one person. Two of his finest flanked the Guard Captain, ready to serve as he was.
