She didn’t know who the mountain of a man was that had assaulted her, but whoever she was one thing was certain, he packed one hell of a punch. She fought to get up; however, with her head spinning, no sooner did she get to her feet did she find herself back down on one knee. This isn’t good. She thought to herself as she tried to clear her head. She could feel the brute walking towards her, and though she couldn’t make out what he was saying over the ringing in her ears, she knew that he was taunting her. As the massive man bore down on her, she couldn’t help but to wonder if she was actually cut out for this line of work. Sure, she was good at rescuing little old ladies in the crosswalk, and cats out of trees, but when it came to going up against other meta-humans, this monster of a man had shown her that she was woefully under prepared. The ground shook as the man stomped toward her, and then suddenly…it stopped. She looked up and saw that someone else had joined the party. The man in the suit of armor was talking to the brute, and though she wasn’t able to hear what he was saying, it seemed to draw the ire of the behemoth, who charged at him. Thanks for the distraction, Iron…Guy. She thought to herself as she struggled to remember her savior’s name. Though she recognized him, she never really paid attention to the various superheroes who have popped up over the last couple of years, something that she knew that she would have to change…assuming she survived this encounter. She took the opportunity provided by the Iron Knight’s distraction to get to her feet and gather her senses. After a moment, her vision steadied and the ringing in her ears stopped. Though she was still a bit unsteady on her feet, she thought that she was recovered enough to take another crack at the mountain-like man while he was distracted by the newcomer. In the blink of an eye, Slipstream raced toward the behemoth. She ran circles around him, peppering him with punches and elbows to the brute’s midsection, and extended to deliver shots to his head, neck, and face. Hundreds of punches and elbows in a matter of seconds. “Are you…” She paused for a split second before resuming her attacks. “Just gonna…” “Stand there…?” She paused every few passes around the large man, directing her questions at the Iron Knight. “Or…” “Are you…” “Gonna…” “Knock him…” “On…” “His ass..?” She finally came to a stop in front of the dazed brute. “I hope you have something in that suit that’ll bring him down…I don’t...hoo...I don't think I can do that again.” She said trying to catch her breath, having expended about everything she had left after the beating that she had taken before the Iron Knight had arrived.
