When he came of age he followed in his father's footsteps and became a trader. He soon became one of the wealthiest and most influential men in Tolebrada. When the old doge died, Gioberto was nominated as a candidate.  Gioberto won the election and is now the doge of Tolebrada.

He is a shrewd diplomat that tries his best to strengthen Tolebradas influence whenever he can. [b]Territory Description:[/b] Tolebrada is a small city-state that lies in a large bay on the southern coast of the continent.

[b]Culture Description:[/b] Tolebrada was once a collection of small tribes. The tribes banded together to defend themselves from raiders and pirates. After the raiders had been defeated the state started to grow and soon the first doge was elected. They started building ships, exploring the ocean and meeting many new trade partners. Today Tolebrada is a flourishing city-state with strong maritime traditions. They are skilled sailors, shipbuilders and traders. The Tolebradans believe in Respicio the god of the ocean and protector of sailors. There is little to no farmable land around Tolebrada therefore they rely heavily on trade and fishing.
