Shawn's suspicions about Heidi were completely correct. She had already finished her project two days after receiving it, writing about 'The King's Speech', a movie she had seen only once, at the cinema when it came out, and had never seen since. She had a soft spot for that movie because she also had problems with public speaking, but for different reasons. Heidi hadn't handed in her project, though. She hated doing things that drew attention to herself in a social environment, because every time she did so, a wave of jealous students used to accuse her of showing off or flaunting her intelligence. So she had taken to, well, not exactly hiding it, because everybody knew she was super smart, but just never showing it in a class environment. Missions were another story. Partly because there were no longer any social boundaries of the academy, and partly because she wasn't nearly as smart when she was stressed and scared. In fact she wished she could be smarter in those situations. She noticed Shawn was looking at her. Should she make conversation? But it's the middle of class, but she couldn't just ignore him, could she? But if she did respond to him and got noticed, that would be embarrassing...She decided to do nothing for now. Maybe there would be an opportunity later in the class where she could talk.
