As far as I'm concerned, if you can keep it then  do so," Ryuuko stated, not seeing any particular reason to take the money off the thieves simply to give it back to those behind the theft in the first place. It was apparent that the Daidouji's wealth was distributed around the family anyway and, consequently, taking the payment wouldn't leave their current employer any worse off. Nor did they owe it to the family to do so.

On the subject of trapping, she had little to say. It wasn't her speciality to plan such things or set up magical traps of some sort: lying in wait and ambushing was more in the vein of the girl's skills.
