 [b]Appearance:[/b] Though not obese or "fat" Allan is a large man. His gut, large arms and legs lead some to believe he is unhealthy. He excercises regularly, but not obsessively, just enough to keep himself healthy. He was born big boned and therefore his more pronounced gut is a natural feature, and he has no wish to rid himself of it, though he probably couldn't if he did want it gone. His face was once very well trimmed and kept, a large, neat and styled mustache on his lip. He stands tall as well, about 6'3, and weighs around 200 lb. He most often wears a suit and tie, and most of his attire is semi formal, he was a teacher after all. Most often his apparel consists of a collared long sleeve shirt,neat khaki, black or gray pants, and a thick jacket or blazer in winter. In the summer he often wears only the pants and shirt with its sleeves rolled up, both styles tend to have a tie. His hair is dirty blonde and thick. His face is large, like the rest of him and has thick features, it could be called gruff if he allowed more facial hair to grow.

[b]In depth personality:[/b] Allan is a raucous, kind and fun loving man. In spite of his large stature those who know him realize he is about as dangerous and threatening as a small dog. He enjoys simple and smart humour, drinking and talking with others and being a generally good person. But, as a side effect he is rather trusting and will ofte take people at their face value as well as being rather soft in dealing out punishment or discipline. He is not prepared to hurt peoples feelings or make himself out to be someones enemy. Its hard for him to give serious criticism or make tough decisions. He'd prefer to be everyones friend rather than anyones enemy. He is kind, supportive and friendly; but  also gullible, trusting and soft.

[b]Character background:[/b] Allan Karlsson may have been born in Canada, but his parents most certainly  were not. Born in the  Netherlands, his parent immigrated to Canada following a job offer in the country for his father just before their son was born, so Allan was born on Canadian soil instead of the Netherlands. Born in Toronto, Allan was raised speaking both Dutch and English, and his parents made sure he knew where the family came from. Allan was good at making friends from an early age, he was always outgoing and adventurous, and willing to please. 

By middle school he had already begun to grow much larger than his classmates, was fluent in dutch and english, and had taken to history with gusto. Highschool passed similarly easy for the smart youth, scoring high marks in most of his classes, his lowest beign C's in his mathematics courses. One of his teacher's then suggested he take up teaching, as he seemed to naturally make friends with others and communicated well. This was during his senior year in high school, and he agreed wholeheartedly,   applying to Seneca college. He was admitted, earned his teaching degree, a masters in history, and a bachelors in psychology. It was quite easy for him to find a job as a teacher in Toronto at a prestigous private school. Their he was both school counselor, and the history teacher.

He has never regretted his situation and enjoys being a teacher. He has yet to settle down and dates rarely, preffering friendships to intimate relationships as they are far simpler. Though, he has recently begun thinking about his future and searching a bit more in depth for a woman to spend his life with. All in all, Allan is very happy with how his life has turned out thus far
