Hazel Baker
Once again, she was back in the observatory room. This time however, Hazel was huddled in a corner, with her eyes shut and her hands covering her ears. The collar was damping the noise she was trying to shut out, but with the drug's effect having weakened, it was all she could do to suppress her desire. The sound of Gregory's bones breaking kept replaying in her mind, with that strange urge to find someone, and recreate that noise with their bones. *** The house groaned and shook, violently tossing both Hazel and the furniture around the flooded room. With great effort she closed her eyes, preparing for the inevitable collapse of the house. And with it, her as well. The end never came. When she opened her eyes she was sitting, once again, in a garden, or rather what seemed to be a small garden in the middle of an endless ocean, so calm it could almost be mistaken for a mirror, reflecting the stars in the nights sky above. It was broad daylight, but oddly enough the sky was black. It would make for a serene scene, albeit a slightly surreal one, with the starry sky reflecting off the ocean, if not for the incredible pressure she felt. It was as if the ocean and the sky was pushing, grinding, fighting against each other. Sparks flew around the air, like fiery butterflies. She had a feeling like it was tainted, but... it wasn't as frightening anymore. "That's right. Don't be afraid." Hazel turned in surprise, staring at the figure sitting daintily at a white table laden with food. *** Hazel jerked, her eyes fluttering open. She was still in the room, staring at the replay on the monitors from a corner of the room. Another one of the dreams. It didn't seem to be as frightening anymore. Not frightening anymore. Not like some here. At least, she knew who she couldn't trust from this fight, and combined with her experience from the last fight, she knew what she needed most at the moment.
