G M A N N O U N C E M E N T:

For this week's discussion, I'm focusing on the secondary plots so I'm asking this; as the Secondary Plots are well underway, what drew you to the one you've decided to join in with? Alternatively, why did you decide to pursue a solo story with your character instead. What sort of plots are you hoping for in the next round and are there elements of Vigilance you feel are either under or over used in the plots?

I think my reasons for opting to play out a solo story are rather evident if you've read my sheet. Tobias is no hero and it'd seem out of place for me to just interpose him into the 'Cry For Help' sub-plot. It's kinda different trying to play a bad guy, because rather than instantly reacting to these plots from an opposing position, like a hero-character would, Tobias has to act as a separate cog of the larger machine at work. And I can't just place him as an opposing force towards the heroes straight away either. Given his status as a member of the Black Lotus Society, it's unlikely that you'll come across him as a foe until much later. That said, it doesn't mean that I can't allow for plot-overlap or for anyone to potentially be caught up in the coming repercussions of his solo story. As for upcoming plots, I can see a lot of gang-related sub-plots being high priority for now and whilst the 'Darker Necessities' story may not necessarily have a gang behind it, I'd like to see a Whodunnit? sub-plot involving the death of a prominent city figure.
