But, aside from Gowi's unrelenting scrubitude, I really disagree with this.

I have one RP that finished (and another one that's halfway through). It [i]is[/i] possible to finish an RP if you're dedicated enough, and the GM knows what they're doing. The problem a lot of RPs run into is that they... just drone on for too late, or the GM has no endgoal because they think, surprise, "RPs always die!" 

People leave RPs, that's a fact of life, yeah. But, if you weed out the people with attention spans and dedication of hamsters, you get the people who stick with you (provided you keep them interested).

Saying "RPs always die" is a narrow-minded assessment.
