I was Masaki's Original WT and Hasayo's version

FYI, not related to Leslie Hall's Cloud Chasers which I'm currently handling with my peeps. But hey I'm a Fairytard so...

This, I shalt make it better with its epic return!

Anyhow this RP itself will be both plot and character driven equally. The tone of this RP will be just as how early Fairy Tail started with simple adventures to complex plot driven story, like how Lucy got herself into FT. Character development is important to make a good story and adventures fanservice that what makes the FT we know and love because Fairy Tail's author, Hiro Mashima Trollshima is at his best when developing characters and plot twists.

P.S: This is an AU but everything including its flavors such as Zeref's followers and the Black Wizard himself, Mavis and other guilds are intact because their actions built the world we know in both anime and manga. The Main Canon Characters we know does not exist in this verse except the people from the past like Fairy Tail founders etc.

First Premise For Season 1's Early Story Bits
The story focuses in the year X-786 where two rival guilds- Viper Bolt and Harpy's Wing are forced to make truce by the Magic Council so that their guilds will not be disbanded respectively. Viper reigns the ground whereas Harpy reigns in the sky, this metaphor is as if the former rules hell while the other is heaven; they never really get along with each other because of their differences. Meanwhile the Magic Council deals with a severe spacial problem of the Eclipse Gate within Crocus' Grand Magic Games, rumors of Celestial Mages either murdered or kidnapped are all over the ears of the people and not to mention, Dragons a race that was said to be extinct are roaming and demonic cults? In order to prevent chaos and knowing that Viper and Harpy will not get along by normal methods, selected members are tasked by their Guild Masters who are under the provision of the Magic Council. Can they confirm if these rumors are true or cause panic?


Facts: Only Guild Masters and S Class knows of the task while other members don't.

A maximum of 7 members per guild. One character per player.
There will be Slayers involved but it's upon me and my Co-GMs decision and no you don't request it because the answer is no but you can try.

Decision Making/ Karma System will be used in this RP which is one of the flavors I had in the original version of this RP. Every decision affects relationships, plots etc.

This will be a short RP, a maximum of four arcs but that doesn't stop everyone to make their character plots. Why? Knowing this right now will have expectations set and I believe, this lowers the risk of the RP dying. If my words become true, I'd be more than glad to make a Season 2. I already plan the RP's seasonal ending to be open ended as well as some of its arcs.

I badly need a Co-GM now :D

Seeing how I've only watched five episodes of Fairy Tail, I'm probably going to do someone who's either new to magic, initially inept at magic, or (as reluctant as I am to play the amnesia card) who has forgotten most of their magic and memories and thus comes off like one of the first two anyways.

...Or I'll just reuse the character I tried to use last time I joined a Fairy Tail RP and hope I don't choke this time. ^^; We'll see how things turn out.

@Rin My best advice is please do read the manga or even watch the anime so you won't mess things up. The thing about people who loves themselves to get spoiled is cliche and annoying. Research beats everything.

I don't want anyone spamming lost magic but I better lay this out:

Viper Bolt = Ninja Guild, better yet known as a martial art preacher guild. Formerly a dark guild of assassins. Their atmosphere/vibe right now since they are a light guild reminds us of Fairy Tail guild but w/o the power of friendship BS crap we are receiving cuz it smells like My Little Pony.

Their jobs would be about the teaching of Martial Arts like any Kungu Fu master does. They also specialize in the art of dancing since it fits with martial arts.

Harpy's Wing which I am going by original concept created by @Hebigami Shiho and myself NOT Hasayo's version. TAKE NOTE for those who were so used in playing different versions of Harpy's Wing. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

They are a business guild, Mafia-esque. Their style will definitely be that of Blue Pegasus but with some shady stuff. Their jobs are more incline to business management, multiple business of monopoly like bars, clubs, clothes etc.

Comparison
As individuals, Harpy has the better edge in terms of magic because their guild uses a lot of caster based magic.

When pit against a Viper Mage in sheer physical status, they (most of the Harpy Mages) extremely suck at CQC combat, harpy mages are better off in long or mid range combat. CUz Kung Fu beats the shit out of them.

Whereas Viper when you make use of their ninja arts not Naruto but physical ones and typical ninja stuff which I will explain, stealth mode espionage etc. They are formidable as a pack. As individuals, they may not have the raw power in terms of magic that a Harpy has but they are crafty individuals.

To put it this way, Viper is like a guild of Rock Lees or Sasukes whereas Harpy is a guild of Kakashi who has a vast array of magic types.

Viper doesn't really have to be all that kung fu-ish, the motif/skill is there but they are like benders from Avatar series if anyone does go the Caster type route which is rare. But do take note that majority of the Vipers are going to be Holder types as a contrast to Harpy's default Caster type. In each side, it is very rare to get a caster(viper) and holder(for Harpy).

Overall both guilds are equal. Viper rocks at their wits, kung fu and way of using their magic while Harpy rocks at having a vast array of magic types.

I might be reusing Ceri for this, since she's probably my favorite thing in existence. Might try and create someone else. Either way, they'll definitely be a harpy since I don't really have any holder-type characters...or even where to begin making one for them, really.

I'd just like to weigh in on this briefly. I don't like the idea of "Vipers use Holder magic and Harpy's use Caster" or that most Harpy's would be unable to hold their own in fistfight. It's the reason that in my version I created the broader philosophies of each guild. I think it's limiting character-wise to have such specific criteria. The philosophies I used were enough to imply that Harpy's would have a tough time in a fight without magic while Golem AKA Vyper would still be very formidable without it and didn't pigeon-hold either guild into a particular category of magic or impose an absolute like being helpless in CQC for all Harpy's. That's my feelings on the matter. Your RP, your call. Just thought I speak up and see what comes of it.
