[i]Ready Player One[/i] is a fantastic book and, while it forms the base for this RP, none of the clues will be depending on the players having read it.  I wouldn't force anyone to read it but if anyone is interested and does read it as a result I count that as a win, it's a great book and worth reading (there are synopses available on the internet, I'm sure but the concept of VR isn't terribly hard to grasp so getting into this world won't be hard).

That said, I will make a few references as most 'Adventurers' will have read RPO as part of their research in the RP - although I will be deviating a little from the general idea of VR as it is in RPO later on.  *Spoilers*
