[indent]Before his death John was a very affable man. Generous to a fault and always trying to help people, he would literally give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger for no other reason than they needed it. After his death though, he has little patience and has a quick temper. His old self and his “reborn” self as he likes to think of it are at constant war of which side of his personality will win out.[/indent]

[indent]John was a beloved history teacher at Renata’s high school. He was very involved in the community and with his family, having only ever left Renata to go to college.[/indent]

[color=FF4500]|The Circumstances of the Death|[/color]
[indent]John was chaperoning a school dance being held in an old building in part of Renata’s historic district. The building wasn’t up to code and the decorations, all flashy and needing a lot of outlets, caused the wiring in the building to catch fire. He got as many students out as he could as the building quickly went up in flames. Searching for any stragglers he found a student hiding that hated him and the feeling was mutual. John urged him to get out and when the boy refused a beam from the ceiling fell. Without hesitation John shoved the boy out of the way, the beam falling across his back, pinning him to the ground. He pleaded with the boy to get help and even though he ran outside to the waiting firemen he didn’t let anyone know where John was or that he was even still inside. Dying from smoke inhalation death found John and gave him a second chance. John emerged from the building, everyone amazed that he had managed to get himself untrapped from the beam, something they chalked up to adrenaline.[/indent]

[indent]John is the oldest of five siblings, he has four younger sisters, some of whom still attend the high school he teaches at. He’s always enjoyed History and was very excited to accept a job teaching at his alma mater.  He grew up in Renata and can’t imagine living anywhere else.[/indent]
