Planning on making my post sunday. Btw, since it doesn't seem anyone has taken a claim to this. I intend to take over wannabe human democrats. Since I trust our GM will be fair, I have no problem revealing that Konev plans to start his rebellion by pushing a commoner vs nobles debate within humanity: Nobles have too many privileges, are sometimes above the law, use nepotism to push their own agendas and that this cripples the army, etc. So I'm wondering how believable such claims would be. Not asking if they would be true or not, since that's completely irrelevant, but could people asking why nobles have so many privileges actually make people think 'Hey, this is actually a good point!' And not see anyone who asks as a filthy traitor. Konev would mainly be pandering to lower ranking human military personnel with this rhetoric. __ Also, to justify possible cooperation with the xenos: 'It is obvious humans are the master race of the galaxy, but it doesn't mean xenos do not have their place as well. Every race is unique and its just that humans in general are more suited to be in roles of leadership than any other race. Everyone says we are invincible and I consider this to be a fact, but it is time to embrace our strength and stop living in fear. Fear I hear you ask? But what do we have to fear, with our mighty armadas?! Well this is the thing. Nothing. Yet we fear that by leaving any bread crumb for the xenos of the empire to feed on that they'll somehow be able destroy our glorious empire! It is preposterous, no, what I say is that we should embrace our role as guides to the lesser races as we were meant to be, leave the petty tasks and jobs to people more suited to them while we give each and everyone of us the place they deserve. Crazy you think? To give the lesser races a loose leash... Well, I did something people thought was crazy a long time ago, gave the Crayvens, one of the most blood thirsty and savage race that rebelled no less than 6 times and required millions to put down, weapons and positions in the army. Well, history has long since been made and these aliens have upheld the defense of humanity and fought against its enemies with only staunch bravery in their hearts for decades now, without the shadow of a rebellion than before despite being entrusted with the guns to defend you.' 'I will defend my more relaxed stance on the xenos by pointing at this as proof that some of them can be trusted and while some others I am certain may not, I am, as also said earlier, in total confidence with our abilities to control misguided subjects that would think they know better how defying our rule is impossible and patiently try and find their rightful place in our glorious system... that is, of course, providing they have a place. While I shall not name any race, we all know there are some who may never integrate properly in our perfect Utopia. For every factory worker replaced by a xeno is someone who will be given the tools to achieve their greatest potential!' 'But there are those who would seek to divide us. As we all know, natural selection is the force that drives the universe. Humans rule this galaxy because we are the most fit to rule it! This is true for evolution, conquest and also for everything down to social interaction and promotions in the military and work force. You know where I'm going... those that do without natural selection, that chose to be unnatural and snob competition because they don't have to prove they are better than others. What would it cost, if they are so high above the common mortals that these people take the tests and prove to everyone that they are indeed the most fit to the task? Even if they are so much better than us, how is it that this talent comes with the privilege of being unburdened by what we common men are? Dutifully paying our taxes and maintaining our paramount of work ethics.' 'I am a man of military persuasion my dear comrades and I have seen gross incompetence at work, costing the empire millions of work hours, resources and worst, brilliant minds having their lives snuffed out of them by easily avoidable mistakes. These wretched men, who get a twisted sense of pride in controling you, a member of the Master Race deserving of respect and consideration, like filth. Ranting on their hate of the xenos and how they should all be exterminated because they would much rather have them replaced by you. Our supreme values of order and hierarchy that insured our triumph over all being twisted in meekly accepting what we are told, because we fear what might happen otherwise, because they would have us believe we are too weak to hold out against the xenos if we don't...' ___________ ...Didn't think I'd write so much. But you get the sense of what I mean. How would they react?
