I have a question what would the empire do if a planet is overpopulated by zenos?
and is a race that multiplies fast like very fast allowed? like if the humans average birth rate for an area is a hundred per day this zeno that lives in the same area birth rate is two hundred per day

@6slyboy6 Here's my finished draft... I just need to get it polished up the ones in WIP are the things I don't know if I should fill in since I am a faction, I'm not exactly based in one place, and the fact some of them might or might not be the same with the Empire like Culture for example. But here ya go. tell me what you think, and where I should make changes and or improvements.

Planning on making my post sunday.

Btw, since it doesn't seem anyone has taken a claim to this.

I intend to take over wannabe human democrats. Since I trust our GM will be fair, I have no problem revealing that Konev plans to start his rebellion by pushing a commoner vs nobles debate within humanity: Nobles have too many privileges, are sometimes above the law, use nepotism to push their own agendas and that this cripples the army, etc.

So I'm wondering how believable such claims would be.

Not asking if they would be true or not, since that's completely irrelevant, but could people asking why nobles have so many privileges actually make people think 'Hey, this is actually a good point!' And not see anyone who asks as a filthy traitor.

Konev would mainly be pandering to lower ranking human military personnel with this rhetoric.

__

Also, to justify possible cooperation with the xenos:

'It is obvious humans are the master race of the galaxy, but it doesn't mean xenos do not have their place as well. Every race is unique and its just that humans in general are more suited to be in roles of leadership than any other race. Everyone says we are invincible and I consider this to be a fact, but it is time to embrace our strength and stop living in fear. Fear I hear you ask? But what do we have to fear, with our mighty armadas?! Well this is the thing. Nothing. Yet we fear that by leaving any bread crumb for the xenos of the empire to feed on that they'll somehow be able destroy our glorious empire! It is preposterous, no, what I say is that we should embrace our role as guides to the lesser races as we were meant to be, leave the petty tasks and jobs to people more suited to them while we give each and everyone of us the place they deserve. Crazy you think? To give the lesser races a loose leash... Well, I did something people thought was crazy a long time ago, gave the Crayvens, one of the most blood thirsty and savage race that rebelled no less than 6 times and required millions to put down, weapons and positions in the army. Well, history has long since been made and these aliens have upheld the defense of humanity and fought against its enemies with only staunch bravery in their hearts for decades now, without the shadow of a rebellion than before despite being entrusted with the guns to defend you.'

'I will defend my more relaxed stance on the xenos by pointing at this as proof that some of them can be trusted and while some others I am certain may not, I am, as also said earlier, in total confidence with our abilities to control misguided subjects that would think they know better how defying our rule is impossible and patiently try and find their rightful place in our glorious system... that is, of course, providing they have a place. While I shall not name any race, we all know there are some who may never integrate properly in our perfect Utopia. For every factory worker replaced by a xeno is someone who will be given the tools to achieve their greatest potential!'

'But there are those who would seek to divide us. As we all know, natural selection is the force that drives the universe. Humans rule this galaxy because we are the most fit to rule it! This is true for evolution, conquest and also for everything down to social interaction and promotions in the military and work force. You know where I'm going... those that do without natural selection, that chose to be unnatural and snob competition because they don't have to prove they are better than others. What would it cost, if they are so high above the common mortals that these people take the tests and prove to everyone that they are indeed the most fit to the task? Even if they are so much better than us, how is it that this talent comes with the privilege of being unburdened by what we common men are? Dutifully paying our taxes and maintaining our paramount of work ethics.'

'I am a man of military persuasion my dear comrades and I have seen gross incompetence at work, costing the empire millions of work hours, resources and worst, brilliant minds having their lives snuffed out of them by easily avoidable mistakes. These wretched men, who get a twisted sense of pride in controling you, a member of the Master Race deserving of respect and consideration, like filth. Ranting on their hate of the xenos and how they should all be exterminated because they would much rather have them replaced by you. Our supreme values of order and hierarchy that insured our triumph over all being twisted in meekly accepting what we are told, because we fear what might happen otherwise, because they would have us believe we are too weak to hold out against the xenos if we don't...'

___________

...Didn't think I'd write so much. But you get the sense of what I mean. How would they react?

@Wernher if that is your public declaration of rebellion. You will have to do some serious convincing behind the scenes to enlist the Blood Raiders as allies. They would be rather offended by such rhetoric and would require lots of persuasion and trust building.

I still love the idea we discussed before. But I'm struggling on how to justify it IC. Especially if/when the blood raiders get friendly with the Ghuls.

@Wildman13 The crayvens do that. Kinda.

@Wernher I see you also got quote the inspirative boost haha. I can totally relate.

Anyways, I fair that some citizens would agree, but the main popluation rarely even meets a noble, as they are mostly present in the imperial hoeworlds. You could get support thers, but thats also where the nobles are who wouldn't be happy.

In the end you'll just have to convince me, cause I'll be playing those NPCs anyways ;D

Just to be clear on that one, you can use imperial NPCs in your IC posts. There is no rule against that, but their actions and their situation will have an impact on how the Empire reacts.

Holy crap thats a big intro post for casual. Anyway, when are all of y'all planning to start your rebellions? I've already planned how I'm purging the humans from my race's cities but I want to wait until others are doing the same I'm disabling the filters at the top of my cities so sulphur dioxide leaks into the cities and kills the humans while the Revghul get a slight cough.

@6slyboy6 Here's why, for them it feels like they're being controlled, they don't like the fact that they can't look at Humanity's history, they don't like the fact that they are forced to live on planets with Xenos, and because of this their faith in the Empire and the Emperor has been lost, they also don't like the fact that one man can make or break the Empire even though it's been proven to them that the Emperor is capable, they don't like being under the Emperor's thumb.

Another thing, is even though humanity has taken the Triangulum, the people who join the Black sun feel like it's not theirs, it feels like it belongs to one man, which puts them off.

@Wernher They could have been crushed by Admiral Konev and the Cravens in the past, which would put Konev and Martin Kell in an interesting position don't you think? It would give the Black Sun more reason to rebel, and even if the Black Sun suddenly grew to like Xenos then they'd just turn around to support Xenos, so I've put some of that into context of development like, it'd be more in character, since I see that event as more current and more fitting to be put in IC, but I would like your opinions on that regard.

@Liotrent You'll be happy that I put up that alignement thingy at the first OC, cause some xenos only hate the empire, and some want to straight out exterminate every humans.

@6slyboy6 I was a bit stuck on my fleet and such. I'll just start out with 3 types of ships: Corvettes, Destroyers & Cruisers and just claim the larger parts of the fleet got blown to smithereens by the empire or whatever empire-friendly nation other players have that want to blow up my guys.

Angel-class Corvette - With it's sleek, arrowhead design, it cuts through a nebulae cloud with ease. The Angel-class Corvette is designed to deliver swift strikes and vanish again. Generally, it counts a crew of maximum 15 and holds room for another 10 passengers(or 3 if they want comfort). The minimum required crew is 5. The Angel-class is standard equipped with 2 torpedoes and 2 small railguns to deliver the pain.

Principes-class Destroyer - Slightly larger than the Angel-class, the Principes is the first ship that would actively be used in a one-vs-one fleet battle. It's nimble and fast due to its 5 ion engines. Just like with the Angel-class it has an arrowhead shape but it's longer compared to the Angel-class. Furthermore, it has small wings protruding its sides. Holding 2 extra torpedoes on each wing. The Principes is armed in total with 6 torpedoes and 4 small railguns. Unlike the Angel-class, the Principes-class holds no spare room and has a maximum crew capacity of 15 people. However, it does require at the very least 9 people to operate. Principes-classes are the only starships that have no room for Geomancers, Tide-Casters, Seers or Voidwalkers.

Inanis-class Destroyer - The Inanis-class is a rebuilt version of the Principes. It got stripped of all its weapons and instead houses an Observation Deck, 3 Expanse Cells and room for 2 bands of any sub-order. It's very adaptable and despite the presence of the Observation Deck, it can still be outfitted with a workshop of a sub-order's desire.

Imperia-class Cruiser - While the Principes and Angel-classes can somewhat fit in the same size category, the cruiser immediately jumps up. With a crew requirement of 25, the Imperia-classes swiftly overshadow their smaller bretheren. Their stern looks quite the same as an Angel-class corvette. But like with an arrow, it has a long, tube-shaped length behind the arrowhead. Imperia-class cruisers used to be the backbone of the Fleet. However, these days they serve as flagship of the small, scattered fleet that continue to harass the human supply lines. Imperia-classes are outfitted with 2 torpedo tubes and hold a total of 10 torpedoes inside. Furthermore, it can use its 2 medium-sized railguns, combined with the 4 smaller ones, to pack a devastating punch. It holds enough room to house 2 bands of one sub-order. However, it doesn't have Expanse Cells so Voidwalkers aren't really welcome. For peak performance, about 55 to 60 crew members are required to operate an Imperia.

@Liotrent

Well, its about on what front we want to play this, by the black sun backing Konev or backing Lucretia. If its Konev then its simple, the little democrat faction I'll introduce will be the one to serve as a bridge between the Black Sun and the admiral, that or years ago during the open rebellion, Konev purposefully spared a lot of the leadership knowing they'd owe him and he's calling in any favor he has. If its Lucretia, we pretty much have to go the way of Lucretia mercifully allowing them to escape, hell, maybe she even gave them a message that when the time is right the both of them would work toward the same goal.

@6slyboy6

I'm honestly just trying to make a phantom bogeyman for every common man to pin everything that goes wrong with the empire without coming out as anti-emperor. Stagnation? Fucking nobles draining the system man. Inflation? The nobles printing money so they don't have to work man! And the idea that obviously, the emperor is the most badass person out there and would instantly solve all the problems of the empire if only he had an elected prime minister to point out where the real problems are instead of a court of nobles that lie to him and work only to maintain their own positions. As I said, it doesn't have to be true, its just that people have to believe it.

I mean, a lot of racists have never even met a man of color so I figure they don't have to be in contact to hate the nobles. Kind of like the global jewish conspiracies and what not.

@Sophrus

As I said, Konev will offer big promises behind the scene, say that once the humans realize how reliable and trustworthy the xenos are they will be able to push for more rights and so forth, buttering up the aliens that way. But remember that meanwhile, Lucretia is working in the background and laying the plan. Humans are all full of shit, Konev moreso than others, but if we just openly revolt, the more numerous and better established humans will crush the xenos, so we have to grin a bear it... for now. Wait for the right moment to show our true color.

@Wernher Perhaps you wanna play this out? I've decided that Martin isn't above helping the Xenos as long as the Xenos are useful to them and if the Xenos can provide one good reason why the Black Sun should even consider helping them, however if it's with Konev, then they would share the same goal, to form a somewhat Democratic/Federal Republic, and perhaps with time develop somewhat like America did, with slavery and race/species equality being reached within the following years, which is also possible.
