While usually cheery, she doesn’t have much in the way of a sense humor, all her schooling never really helped her catch when people are making jokes. She was never one to back away from a confrontation especially if someone touched her perhaps too strong sense of pride. A great deal of her ferocity and tenaciousness died with her husband and son, and to those that new her before she is a shadow of the woman she had been. To strangers she is simply quiet, unconfident, and more than a bit absent-minded. She couldn’t bring herself to stay in Connecticut, and so left her friends and family behind. Her ‘move’ consisted mostly of driving west in her old Volkswagen Golf with no real destination in mind. A week into this extended road trip, the car broke down in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal. A sign a she’d driven by a few minutes before announced Renata as 10 miles out. It was still somewhat early in the afternoon so Jessa decided to take a chance and walk it, apparently not having checked the forecast. She made it about half way before the storm hit almost all at once. It was dark, cold, and took about ten minutes for her to get completely turned around. After another hour she sat shivering on the ground, still close to the road but unsure which direction she was walking. Hypothermia set in before midnight, and she almost welcomed death, only to be seen by someone driving the next morning and take to the hospital.
|Power|
Energy absorption/cold manipulation. Jessa can absorb the heat of anything within a meter range of herself, freezing just about anything to absolute zero. The effect can be nearly instantaneous if she can physically touch the system. She was sent to boarding school shortly after reaching her teens and was accepted to Yale’s Architecture program. It was there she would meet her future husband Nathan Colmer. The two were engaged and married shortly after graduation. Together, and with some helpful loans from the Meyers, the young couple was able to start a business of their own; Colmer Architects. It wasn’t much of a risk as it was unconventional to what either of the upper-class families had hoped for their children. The venture remained small, but payed off and after three years Jessa was able to take time off to have a son; Joshua. Whatever thought of returning to work was gone with his arrival and Jessa devoted herself to her child entirely, leaving the business to Nathan. A bit over five years later Nathan took his son to see his first Hawk’s baseball game, only to be hit by a drunk driver on the way home instantly killing himself and leaving Joshua in critical condition. He held on four nearly two months before dying. A piece of Jessamyn was lost with her old life and she couldn’t bear to remain the same place as the ghosts of her family, so she left.
|Other|
She wears two wedding bands on her left hand
