It must have been one hell of a shock, seeing someone supposedly come back from the dead, someone who had been buried properly in a way that no walker could take there place. Nodding, Jack didn't have much to say on the topic. He had only briefly known Zoie, as she had welcomed Tatiana and him into Newnan that first day. Beyond that, he hadn't known her at all. She was just another face. "Damn," Jack said simply. "Didn't see that one comin'." He chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I got some," Jack said, before throwing in a quip. "You guys could do a Beauty and the Beast combo, though." He winked, before handing Ray over the shaving supplies he had used to get cleaned up. Clapping his hands together, Jack glanced at the time. It was about when he needed to get his tux on, for real. "I'll pop into the bathroom real quick, gotta change," Jack explained, before heading inside with his tuxedo. He emerged a few minutes later, tying the tie with a lot more accuracy than the first time. There was a goofy grin on his face, and he pumped his fist slightly. "Whoo! Let's go get this weddin' ovah with," he chuckled, knowing that he still had a while to wait. His nerves had simply melted away into pure excitement, his mind going through a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. He was absolutely giddy, as giddy as some of his friends in the Chicago PD would have been if the Cubs ever won the series.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Franklin Apartment C3

As she glanced at the dress, hanging up on the door of her bathroom, Beatrice gagged ever so slightly. The dress itself wasn't ugly, by any means--in fact, it was perhaps one of the few dresses that Beatrice could consider pretty. When she had heard about the run for formal wear, she expected them to return with prom dresses, ripped and covered in someone's guts. Instead, they had found her something even Beatrice could tolerate to wear. No, it was the entire prospect of a wedding itself that disgusted Beatrice. It reeked of clichés and romance, of girls weeping for boys to return to them, of manipulation and plots that are all solved in time for the one and a half hour movie to end with some popular yet sappy song. Rolling her eyes at the entire thought, Beatrice wished that there was a way to get out of it, but there didn't seem to be one. Getting dressed, she left her hair down, thinking that there was hardly any point in playing with it. It looked fine the way it was. "Walkers are almost preferable to this," Beatrice muttered to herself, as she slipped on her shoes. It felt like just another social illusion, a wedding. And it was silly to her that one could even be held in the apocalypse--till death do us part generally wasn't a very long time to wait, after all. Someone could be married one day, and widowed the next. But fundamentally, her issue wasn't so much with the circumstances or the people. No, Beatrice simply didn't understand or value love.

Chloe Ridgeway

Location: Building 7 (Rec Center) ---> Building B; Chloe's Room

Chloe noticed the way Amelia was always throwing looks back at her, and it amused her. It reminded her of whenever a new inmate arrived at the prison, given the same piece of advice--get a prison wife. Chloe, despite her few tattoos, tended to look more approachable than the other inmates to those new and afraid of prison. Lots of new offenders had given her those same looks--the look that she imagined she had thrown around prison when she herself had first arrived. Grabbing her flannel, Chloe shrugged it on, grateful to have the bit of warmth back. While the cold didn't bother her too much, she hardly enjoyed it. But after all of the sacrifices she never made for Riley, giving up her coat for a few minutes seemed like a decent place to start to make amends. She had let her parents kick her sister out of the house when they were growing up, after all--giving Riley her jacket was the least she could do. Chloe had to hold back a knowing grin as Riley checked Amelia out again, though she turned her grin into a chuckle at Riley's joke as an easy coverup. "Man, can you imagine what Dick'd been like to know Before?" Chloe mused, looking through boxes for anything that even remotely resembled an instrument. She nodded at Ryan, realizing that it was probably something Riley shouldn't hear. It annoyed her slightly, having to wait to hear, but she figured Irish would tell her eventually. Plus, the both of them would have to head home eventually to change for the wedding, and she could pester him for information then. At the Irish lullaby, Chloe made a bit of a quizzical expression, before returning to search through the boxes. The man was acting incredibly weird that day, and she almost wasn't sure what to make of it. "If we're hanging people, we could turn our home into Death Row," Chloe commented. "Georgia had the death penalty, if I remember correctly, after all." And while she was joking, Chloe also was slightly serious. If any member of Newnan was likely to be executed, Chloe figured it would be one of the three convicts living in Rejects Housing. But with Dick's behavior that day, she'd bet on him getting a bullet to the head out of the three of them. "Okay, Ryan's gone a little batshit," Chloe said with a slight chuckle, once the man had left, making his unnerving banjo impression. Though, his suggestion about making a banjo wasn't entirely crazy. With a tissue box and some cardboard, she figured they could attach the guitar strings, and make something useable. Odder instruments had been made, though she also wondered if seeing anyone could fix the CD player might be easier. But at the same time, she wasn't sure if the contraption would hold up with use. And was there enough time left before the wedding to even put the strings to use? "I really don't want to be negative about this, and while I know we both desperately want to kiss Ash's ass, I'm not sure this'll work," Chloe admitted, frowning slightly at the strings and rubber bands. "And it might even sound shitty. Singing solo might be the best option you've got." She felt slightly bad about her opinion, but it hardly seemed practical, creating a banjo out of such limited supplies so soon before the wedding. Riley's singing voice was astounding--she'd be able to carry the wedding with her vocals alone, Chloe figured. "I'll meet you at the wedding, yeah?" Chloe asked, tempted to throw in a bye lovebirds before she left the Rec Center. The walk to the Convict Cabin wasn't incredibly long, as while they weren't exactly trusted, they did get the benefit of a nice and central location in Newnan. She didn't bother announcing herself to Dick or Ryan, and headed straight back to her room. Shutting the door and locking it, just in case anyone tried to come in, Chloe stripped off her normal clothes. Folding them neatly, just as she had been required to do every day in lockup, she placed them towards the head of the bed, the boots sitting next to them. The dress they found for her was gorgeous, admittedly. It was a dark blue mid length V-neck dress, her ginger hair provided a nice contrast to its hue. She hadn't gotten dressed up in years--in fact, she remembered the very last time perfectly. She was at the Metropolitan Detention Center when the outbreak occurred for a reason--she was awaiting trial. During court appearances, she was permitted to change into something a bit more flattering than prison orange. And while she had worn a power suit during those occasions, Chloe couldn't help but feel like she was about to face a judge, and lie under oath in an attempt to avoid incarceration. She then pulled her hair back into a partial bun, allowing two small groups of strands to fall forward to frame her face. While it was going to be cold outside, she couldn't help but love the way her hair looked, put up like that. A small little part of her enjoyed the entire look of her ensemble, even though her tattoos were plainly visible. Behind her right ear, there was a diamond; on her left wrist, a bracelet; and on her left ankle, an infinity heart. Each of them carried a special meaning to her, and all of them were received inside a cell, while locked away from the outside world. Putting on the black shrug she had been given to accompany the dress, Chloe slipped on a pair of heels. She couldn't help but smirk slightly at them--they'd never have been allowed behind bars. They could be turned into shivs within just a few seconds. Finally finished putting herself together, Chloe glanced at herself briefly in the small mirror of the room, before heading out of her room and down the hall of the Rejects 'R Us house.
