SCION Team/Rank: Trainee, Hunter's Moon Description:
Di is a tall, athletic young woman, with greenish eyes and light brown hair that's usually tied back in an untidy french plait for practicality's sake. It's often ascessorised with leaves and moss. She has a scattering of freckles across her skin and appears lightly tanned, mostly because she spends so often outside. Her clothing, assuming she has applied some, tends to be unrestrictive as much as is possible. She likes to construct accessories out of fur, bones and teeth.
Personality:
Dinah Fox is a person who has nearly always lived by her own rules. Di is not a person to keep how she feels about anything to herself. She is outwardly affectionate to people she likes..to the point that a personal bubble doesn't seem to exist where she'd concerned. If she likes a person she'll flying tackle them and hug them to death as a greeting if she wants to. At the same time if she dislikes a person, she will not in the slightest bit hesitate about showing them the extent of that. Possibly in a similar vein, Di could be seen as being rather...feral. She always has been that way. While many SCION women (and a few men) love pretty clothes, Di is a lot less concerned about it. She also doesn't wear makeup. She was once persuaded to try wearing nail polish and ended up scraping it off with her teeth because she thought it made her nails feel odd. She had no concept of manners or formality. She eats pretty much everything with her hands...unless it's soup, then she'll just lift it up and drink it right out of the bowl. She sees nothing wrong with skinning game on the common room table. Di works on the basis that she's an animal, so she might as well act like one. Despite this behaviour, something that can often cause a bit of friction, Di has inherited the Fox family's innate sense of compassion. Seeing others suffer disturbs her enormously and she cannot stand unnecessary cruelty or sadistic behaviour. She tends to want to help others and be relied upon to take responsibility in situations.
Skills:
-Skilled tracker and hunter, is able to make snares and other traps to catch small animals (or possibly rather more dangerous things). Is able to both construct and use bows. Could survive in wilderness areas indefinitely provided she remained healthy and able to hunt. - Wendigo powers. Due to being the host to a dark nature spirit, Dinah has a special connection to earth energies. Plants tend to grow in places where she stays for long. Animals tend to have an affinity with her, especially predators and she can often pacify creatures...even werewolves.
Weaknesses:
-Unsophisticated. Di has few social graces, and little grasp on anything that involves technology. Her lack of manners means she can't exactly fade into the background in social events. It's something she needs to work on if she wants a career in intelligence. -Wendigo curse. Dinah must hunt and spill blood to feed the earth regularly so as not to wake the full force of the spirit that dwells inside her. If she fails to prepare properly she may be overwhelmed by this presence and become a mindless beast.
Brief History:
Dinah, along with her older brother Cyrus, were adopted by Saffiya, one of the SCION officers after they were discovered living by themselves in the wilds of Wyoming. Dinah had apparently taken to this far more readily than her brother, and seemed entirely at home out there. It was only once they'd returned to civilisation that it became clear that the girl was no longer quite herself. In the time they had been out there, Dinah had become host to one of the spirits of the hunt. She has, in the time in between, done her best to keep it under control within the restrictions that a more structured life demands. Dinah has been around SCION for a few years, and as a result seemed naturally pre-disposed to taking up a role within the organisation. Saffiya has hoped to some degree it will give the young woman a little more direction in life.
