Vanessa gave a nod to The Mind's request and said. "Sure. Just a moment." For a few seconds, Vanessa vanished. She returned later, having stored her rifle on the Quest for Flavor so it wouldn't be left upon the ground. Vanessa had seen some of The Bees acting strangely after interacting with the surface of The Slime and figured it's makeup might have been something less than pleasant to touch. Even with her gloves already on, Vanessa wanted something a little more practical for this type of thing. Toony would probably be able to provide easily. Walking over to Toony, Vanessa held up her arms and said. "Toony, if you would kindly make me a pair of surgical elbow gloves, I would greatly appreciate it." With that said, Vanessa now had to wait for Toony to respond. Hopefully she didn't take long, as The Slime was probably not very comfortable with the canister stuck inside of it. Vanessa hadn't interacted with many slimes before, as they weren't popular on Dämmerlicht. Not that they weren't welcome, but most slimes didn't want to stay for long on a planet where half the population regularly drank from other people. It was a lot more civilized than that, but the fact that it could happen unnerved the more liquid based species and prompted them to stay clear. With some of The Bees acting strange after coming into contact with The Slime Vanessa assumed that The Slime was probably not a good idea to touch directly, which is why she had asked Toony for gloves. This was secretly twofold as Vanessa didn't want to get her suit dirty since slime was hard to get out, and she didn't want to be afflicted with whatever The Bees had contracted from The slime. Vanessa could see that The Bees were acting rather dizzy and strange, like they were either drunk or under the affects of a hallucinogen. With her status as a Vampire, Vanessa didn't want to try anything that might make her a risk for the other crewmembers. She didn't need to go around trying to bite people or, even worse, possibly even infect someone with vampirisim. Though there wasn't anyone who was a candidate for transformation into a true vampire, the mutations and possible death from the disease were much more concerning. This was why Vanessa was taking all the precautions she could, as one slip up could pose a distinct hazard for the others.
