In aggregate, game review publications have average scores hovering around 74/100, [url=http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/publication/reviewed?page=0]as metacritic shows[/url]. The lowest average score of any publication is 57, belonging to an obscure website, no publication really uses the full scale. I think this is score comes as a disappointment, given that this is a heavily promoted triple-A title coming from a series where the previous entries all scored over 90 and the developer has only made one other game that scored this low. Metacritic has its flaws, but I think it's safe to say that EA's board is not happy about this.
